Dear Officer of the Supreme Court, I'm not sure of the precise issue to which you refer. However, you may like to review WP:RS and WP:NOR, which are Wikipedia's policies on reliable sources and no original research respectively. In particular, whatever you wish to add to an article needs to be cited to a reliable source. If I assume correctly - and I apologise if I am in error - and you are referring to a series of recent IP edits to the Sydney Law School that insisted on adding "one of" to the claim of being the first law school in Australia -- in that case, the edits directly contradicted the information contained in the cited source. If you wish to change that information, you will need to supply a citation to a reliable and verifiable source. In particular, to support a claim that Sydney Law School is "one of the first" rather than "the first" law school in Australia, you will need to supply a source that shows, at the very least, that there was another law school which is older or just as old as Sydney Law School.

Thank you for taking the time to write on my talk page. Please do not hesitate to do so again if you have any questions after reading the aforementioned policy pages. I look forward to your constructive contributions to this project. Kind regards, --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 13:01, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Again, I am open to be persuaded that the LPAB or any other legal educational institution is a "law school", if indeed there is a reliable source that says so. None has been supplied. If you can find such a source, perhaps even a book of the LPAB's own history, I am willing to be persuaded. Regards, --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 13:10, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I appreciate your point of view. Nonetheless, I'm not convinced that anyone who provides legal education is a "law school". Of course, the meaning of "law school" varies between jurisdictions. In other varieties of English, the College of Law would be a "law school" and a university's law faculty would not be. Nonetheless, I'm not convinced that the LPAB (and similar institutions) are regarded as "law schools". Any citation you could provide would be appreciated. --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 22:55, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:20, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
