Note regarding my comments on Government Communications Headquarters. Not all situations where the term 'Britain' has been used can be replaced directly with 'UK'. This is mainly because of British Overseas Territories which 'Are territories ... (which) do not form part of the United Kingdom and, with the exception of Gibraltar, are not part of the European Union' But are part of 'Britain'. This issue crops up in Commonwealth and constitutional areas to do with the British Crown, which is the head of state of 16 countries other than the UK. Hope this helps explain things a bit :)

Regarding contribution at British Armed Forces

Hi, "UK" is an exception (see MOS:ACRONYM#Exceptions) because it's such a common name for the United Kingdom. In term of linking "its", this is actually preferred to avoid a WP:EASTEREGG link. Without the "its", the link appears to link to a article discussing overseas territories more broadly, not just the UK's territories. It might not look as tidy, but its unambiguous as to where "its overseas territories" links to.

Overlinking

Please stop overlinking articles, as you have on Government of the United Kingdom and numerous other articles. It is obvious in the above article that it is referring to London, United Kingdom from the reference above in the box. Please read WP:OVERLINK and stop adding unnecessary links. acronyms

You do not need to use United Kingdom (UK) as a descriptor. It is considered incorrect usage. either use UK or United Kingdom not both.
