License tagging for Image:Baptistchurch.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Baptistchurch.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:05, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Gower, usually it's frowned upon to re-create pages that have just been deleted. If you think that the church deserves a page on wikipedia, just leave a msg here and I will help you to go through the proper channels. --Kchase02 T 04:37, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- yea I thought since FBC Dallas has article maybe we could to. Although we are a smaller church. But its whatever.
- I'm confused by your response. Leave a msg here if you want my help. It shouldn't be that hard. I changed the speedy delete to a proposed delete, which will give us five days to work on it.--Kchase02 T 04:44, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

As a copyright violation, Aegis lending appears to qualify for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Aegis lending has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. For text material, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source, provided that it is credible.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

However, for text content, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Butseriouslyfolks 04:50, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Advertisements are not permitted at Wikipedia
editA tag has been placed on Aegis lending, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add hangon
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Butseriouslyfolks 04:50, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Copyrighted images on Lewis County Schools
edit Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Image:Lchs.gif. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (https://www.edline.net/pages/Lewis_County_High_School in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Lchs.gif with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Image:Lchs.gif with a link to the details.
Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a hangon tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Image:Lchs.gif saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.
It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your original contributions are welcome. —Celithemis 05:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:1172889164589.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:1172889164589.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:32, 30 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 01:32, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded
editThanks for uploading Image:Image-Koppbio.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Koppbio.jpg. The copy called Image:Koppbio.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 05:59, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
editThanks for doing some much-needed cleanup work on Stephen J. Kopp and some other articles. However, before posting any more images of living public figures, please read WP:FU. Even if the photos are used as publicity photos, they are still subject to copyright unless they are explicitly released on an acceptable free license. Otherwise, they will be deleted. That being said, thanks again for helping to improve our coverage of West Virginia. BTW, have you checked out WP:WVA yet? youngamerican (wtf?) 13:44, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Orbitcast requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. brewcrewer (yada, yada) 08:11, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Barack Obama has not been elected President
editPlease stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to List of Presidents of the United States, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Barack Obama has not been elected President, and Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. --Orlady (talk) 18:56, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
