Per user's parting comment below, there would no longer be a need to unblock. — Daniel Case (talk) 15:03, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Gorillaz. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. editHi. Thank you for your contribution to the Jim Carrey article. I see that today you uploaded File:Jimcarreypopper.jpg, a new photo of Jim Carrey sourced from the Daily Mail. Wikipedia will only accept images that comply to their image use policy and are licensed for commons use. The Daily Mail have copyright for this image and so does not meet these policies. Please read the image use policy for details of the requirements and effective ways of uploading uploading licensed images. Thank you. Span (talk) 16:56, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

editPlease do not continue to upload files with missing or false information on their copyright status. Please note that Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Images and other media must only be uploaded if they meet the conditions stated in our image use policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 21:41, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Jgquin.PNG
editThanks for uploading File:Jgquin.PNG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
File:JoelQuintel.PNG
editWill you finally stop re-uploading File:JoelQuintel.PNG (File:Jgquin.PNG)? I've had to delete it three times already. Read the deletion log. If you don't understand the reason, ask. One more upload and you're blocked. Fut.Perf. ☼ 15:26, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:JoelQuintel.PNG
editThanks for uploading File:JoelQuintel.PNG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 05:23, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. While I understand you may be new here, or may not understand copyright, we have asked you several times to stop uploading copyright violations, but you have not. Unless the author of the work specifically states, in writing, that the work is released under a certain license, then it is not released under that license. {{Attribution}} is a certain license. When (and if) you are willing to respond to these issues, you may certainly request unblock. Magog the Ogre (talk) 05:28, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
