Just wondering
editI'm wondering what your opinion is of List of pinball machines. Do you think most of these machines are notable? Do they all deserve an article? If a majority of them turn out to be non-notable would you want to delete the list? Would you appreciate it if I applied the standards you are directing towards the list of gamelan ensembles in the United States towards articles and lists about gaming? I know next to nothing about gaming, but that should that matter? -- ☑ SamuelWantman 03:39, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- I think it's just as qualifying for deletion as the gamelan ensembles list. Why is it do you think I have some sort of bias towards games? Simply because according to my user page, I'm an "expert gamer"? GraYoshi2x►talk 23:57, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Vista-visual-styles-comparison.png)
editThanks for uploading File:Vista-visual-styles-comparison.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:06, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Interesting
editI've known that Chinese eat mug bean jelly, but did not know the name. Also it seems to be eaten as a sweet desert along with fruits. However, after some research, it is eaten as a savory dish too[1], so I guess merge is a due course. Is lapi (拉皮) also a mug bean jelly like dish? What is the main ingrdient?[2] However, given Badagnani's absurd accusation, even though I've edited the article several times (the picture is added by me), his shouting "stalk" is his weapon. He has been obviously stalking you for recent days. However, if you revert more, you have no choice to get dragged into his game.--Caspian blue 18:27, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- That's funny. I don't think I've even heard of that dish. It could be a local specialty of some sort, but judging from the picture it does seem like it's the same thing (or almost). GraYoshi2x►talk 18:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. The photo was taken in a place near North Korea, and China is a very vast country. --Caspian blue 18:36, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, he now takes advantage of your added information[3] to take the credit just like he did use me to create Kuai (dish) from Korean Hoe (dish).[4][5]--Caspian blue 18:53, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- He probably still doesn't understand that the two dishes are the same thing. Oh well, I'll just put a merge proposal on the articles seeing it's the same. GraYoshi2x►talk 18:54, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well all you need for the merge is just reliable sources.--Caspian blue 18:58, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Windows Vista. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. — R3ap3R.inc (talk) 22:25, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Thankyou
editThankyou stranger! I see you are a Chinese speaker. I am not, so I would very much welcome your help on generating Chinese text if you feel able. Please let me know if you have expertise in Chinese music/culture/history and would be patient enough to answer questions. I'd appreciate it. Redheylin (talk) 16:57, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks again - if an article seems to need Chinese characters I'll call you. I notice that on Chaozhou xianshi you reformatted the reflist and then tagged as "lacking citations". In fact pretty much all of the article is derived from the two sources that were cited inline in the text: the third was a pre-existent "further reading" that I have never seen, and so cannot speak for its value as a citation. The format you have selected does not allow the reader to verify specific data in the article so I cannot see how further citations can be added, or how page numbers could be added to citations so that they be not "challenged and removed". What do you have in mind? Redheylin (talk) 23:12, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks part 3. CU! And thanks #4! Redheylin (talk) 23:19, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Manual of Style for Chinese subjects and WikiProject China
editI think you need to take the article move and wikitionary matter to WT:Naming conventions (Chinese) and WT:Manual of Style (use of Chinese language), and WT:WikiProject China. So I raise the matter to WT:WikiProject China#Naming convention for Chinese foods and usages of Wikitionary.--Caspian blue 18:16, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

I have a question for you
editI left a question at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of sources of Chinese culinary history in response to your notion of redundancy. Please answer my question at the AfD. Thanks.--Caspian blue 00:09, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

My mistake
editI reverted that edit, and I think the edit was already reverted when I reverted it, so sorry, and I tried to fix it, but it was too late so sorry. Darren23 (Contribs) 21:59, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's okay, everyone makes a mistake every once in a while :P GraYoshi2x►talk 22:01, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Grayshi/Archive. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
Hello GraYoshi2x. I closed the AfD on this early as I believe there was consensus that your argument for deletion was invalid. You are welcome to take this to deletion review if you disagree. Thanks -- Samir 21:39, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
About my rating icons
editYou said that I created an imitation of the "actual" US TV rating icons, but if you see the source of it, it isn't a imitation, it is used by PBS and other syndicated programs. That ISN'T a imitation.tablo (talk) 19:23, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- However, it isn't in standard Helvetica nor is it in the correct coloring. GraYoshi2x►talk 22:04, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, but I don't really think that there is a standard in coloring. tablo (talk) 18:17, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- It may not be official, but that look is the de facto standard. Any other design was conceived by the network. GraYoshi2x►talk 19:01, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion
editPlease do not put a speedy deletion template back on a page after it has been removed (except by the original page author). If you disagree with my decision, you can go to WP:RFD, where you will also find more guidance about the appropriate reasons to delete a redirect. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 22:05, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Could've done without the bolding. Thanks anyways. Although I don't see anything in R3 that says that the redirect had to be misleading or harmful. After all it's highly implausible someone would search for "TV-AO", considering the section was originally added (and the redirect created soon afterwards) as a hoax a few years back. GraYoshi2x►talk 22:14, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
If I may add an additional comment regarding this, I don't think R3 applies as the redirect was created back in 2006.--Rockfang (talk) 22:27, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- The "recent" probably is just an intensifier put there to make the reason sound a little fancier, if you know what I mean. I guess someone thought it'd be okay to put that there as misleading redirects are usually tagged within 5 minutes of creation. GraYoshi2x►talk 22:31, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
My redirected pages
editMy "redirected from" pages are web address (e.g. bell.ca or hbo.com), and they ARE very useful redirects'.-- 00:33, 9 August 2009 (UTC)User:Boyhere
- Yawn... There's a little something here that we call policies. GraYoshi2x►talk 20:03, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
It looks like we scared him off! (See his talk and user pages). He claims to have 'retired', but not before making one edit (a revert) on A certificate. Be on the lookout for sockpuppets! -Sme3 (talk) 14:12, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- And here he is.... User:XEuser! (talk - contribs). Note the new user's first edit and the writing style. He also reveals his IP address in the contributions -Sme3 (talk) 14:21, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Just what is up with that kid? Retiring an old account only to try to further disrupt the wiki with a new account? I've got a hunch that we're dealing with a troll here, and it looks to me like he's trying to avoid scrutiny. GraYoshi2x►talk 14:44, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- And he just violated the policy, a few minutes after the creation of the account. I'll monitor him for now and file a report if need be. GraYoshi2x►talk 14:47, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
