Pancake
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Please don't be put off. Ohnoitsjamie is a great editor. He reverted your edit, perhaps mistaking it for vandalism. I would have reverted it too, but only as unencyclopedic, and unsourced. I encourage you to continue to edit. If I can help in any way, please drop me a line. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:30, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, I appreciate your comment, but I still think Ohnoitsjamie unfairly removed my edit. If a Wikipedia entry doesn't constitute a source for another Wikipedia entry, what's the point of this site? My edit was relevant to an otherwise very dry page, and I think it did add value. - Well, I think Ohnoitsjamie fairly removed the edit. But, calling it vandalism wouldn't be my call.
- What is written in one article might not be good for another article, regardless of whether or not it is true.
- The pancake article might be dry, but that does not really mean it needs such an edit.
- You can make bags of good edits because you are obviously smart. But, think of opening an encyclopedia -- hardcover. What would you want to find on pancakes? I would think that the pancake-in-the-pocket bit somewhat out of place. Even though visitors would find that interesting (I did), it is not really encyclopedic. Do you see what I mean? There are "Cultural references" sections, but many editors don't like them. I am on the fence.
- Anyhow, please continue to edit. Don't take offence to editors reverting. You are an editor because you edited. Continue. Include references. Add solid stuff that nobody can contest. Let me know if I can help. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 17:13, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
