Vincent K. Brooks

edit

I'm sorry, I had to roll back your edit on Vincent K. Brooks because the formatting somehow had the image taking over the entire page. Can you reformat the image call so that the Commons version of the image shows at a reasonable size? Thanks. --Yksin 07:49, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. You are currently one edit away from violating this rule, and may be blocked without further warning if you continue. Kafziel Talk 13:15, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

William J. Fallon

edit

I uploaded that picture because it is more recent than yours. On your photo, he doesn't even have his Navy Distinguished Service Medal yet, nor does he have his "Central Command ID badge". This is simply an old photo of him as Pacific commander, where they digitally removed the flag and the old Pacific command ID badge. But I don't care, if you like the old photo better... claudevsq (talk) 07:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

As is wrote to the Image: You have the opportunity to upload a new picture but not to overwrite a functional one. Upload your picture to Commons like "William_J._Fallon _2007.jpg" and add the source and a matching license. Then you can easily use it in the article. regards --GrummelJS (talk) 18:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

question

edit

You added Image:Flag of the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps.jpg to Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps. However the image depicts the personal flag of any Marine four-star general, as the ACMC does not have a unique standard of his own... as far as I know. If you'd provide a reference, I'd be appreciative; otherwise, I'd like to change the caption of the image to denote that the flag is not unique to the billet. Thanks! bahamut0013 23:48, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

P.S. the image may be a candidate for Flag of the United States Marine Corps and/or Flags of the United States armed forces as well.

As in the given source from the National Defense University the picture is called 6FlagACMC.jpg. But nevertheless you can be right. Therefore we can also change the caption. I just thought that the ACMC as the other Vice Chiefs does have an own flag too. --GrummelJS (talk) 08:59, 8 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
