I've tried to explain my point over on the relevant Talk page. I can't claim that I've checked all the pronunciation key pages, but I've certainly opened quite a few and - with the notable exception of Yiddish - none of these specified serif typefaces for rendering non-Latin characters. - The list of fonts for Hebrew text (that has been tagged with {{Script/Hebrew}}) is defined at Template:Script/styles hebrew.css. Your browser will pick the first font it has available on that list. When it was created, some serif fonts were listed before some sans-serif fonts. You can submit an edit request on the talk page. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 02:17, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
