- Hi Doc James. License is CC BY-SA now, and I reuploaded the files. Thanks for your help. Guido4 (contribs · email) 21:31, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- Great thanks for doing that. Apologies for the troubles. We keep a fairly tight eye on copyright here :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:23, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Infographics
editHello @Guido4, I recently created a section on the foreskin article about its development during gestation and I thought it would've been a good idea to improve the section with an infographics. Unfortunately, I didn't find any in wikimedia commons, except for this one in spanish. I was wondering whether you, as a professional and illustrator, could help create a similar illustration that could be used in the english article.
I guess you are probably busy so I don't know when you are going to see this. If you think you could help, you can tag me in a response, so that we can discuss about the translation in order to make it correspond with the text in the article. Piccco (talk) 10:29, 10 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Piccco, thanks for you request. It is much work to do these graphics as it would not be enough to just redraw a template. We have to check all the facts first otherwise it might lead to just copying other illustrators' mistakes. So I'll have to see when there is time available.
- First I'd like to place those illustrations that we already have done, so I'd be happy if you could keep an eye on the "anatomy and function" infographics. Guido4 (talk) 17:00, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Guido4, since I made that request, I tried translating the graphic into english myself and uploaded this infographic on wikimedia. I made some adjustments to the text in order to make it more explanatory and more corresponding to the text in the 'gestation' section that I created. I was wondering whether you find it good enough for the article, or if you want to suggest any adjustments. If you want to make your own version of it some time, feel free to do it. Maybe it could replace mine, if you want.
- Also, as for the "anatomy and function" infographic, I was wondering what if you replaced the term "ridged band" for the yellow area with another term, like preputial ring. This term refers to the same area as the ridged band, but sounds like a more academic term and it is used more in the literature (e.g. in textbooks about penile surgery etc.) An alternative name fore the same region is also preputial orifice. This way we could avoid the unnecessary long caption just because one study questioned the existance of the 'ridged band' and we wouldn't have issues with the editor that objected to the use of the infographic in the article.
- It'd be interesting to hear your opinion on both matters. Piccco (talk) 10:29, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Piccco, and sorry for getting back so late. We have changed the infographics on the foreskin anatomy according to all the requests made: No wording of "function", no illustration of circumcision, no "ridged band", but only "mucocutaneous junction". Does this meet all criteria that have been asked for? If so, would you be willing to add the image to the WIKIPEDIA page on the foreskin? I'll try to keep away from the American Wikipedia site on this issue. Kind regards, Guido4 Guido4 (talk) 18:43, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Guido4, it was very unexpected to hear from you after this long. I thought you had retired. If you ask me personally, I do not have a problem with the new image; seems fine to me. It seems like you removed the vocabulary that could be seen as controversial by the other editors so I guess that would be fine to them as well. Like you, I haven't edited there for some time now and I am currently a little busy, so I won't be able to make any edits those days. If you want you could also add it yourself, in case I remain busy for long. I guess one edit wouldn't be an issue. In any case, good luck in the future. Cheers! Piccco (talk) 00:54, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
