2014 Los Angeles Galaxy season

What's the best external sources to use in the article? Kingjeff (talk) 05:31, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes, but the problem is policy requires external sources. Although match reports and statistics might be unavoidable. But otherwise, there must be external sources. Kingjeff (talk) 18:09, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is what I meant. "Every article on Wikipedia must be based upon verifiable statements from multiple third-party reliable sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. A third-party source is one that is entirely independent of the subject being covered." Kingjeff (talk) 22:53, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'll be putting it up for featured article status. Therefore, it will need correct sources whenever possible. Kingjeff (talk) 21:39, 9 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Brazilian football task force

edit

Fala cara, tudo beleza?

Oh, thanks! I'll wait for the others and then ask to an admin to create it. (Now I have to write in English, as some guy who deeply hates me and some other good guys in here is trying to force me out of WP)
Cheers, MYS77 02:30, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
A guy is notifying an admin because I'm speaking in Portuguese in an English WP today, but this isn't nothing when compared to the rest. This started almost a month ago, when some user named Panhead2014 started to edit in here and drove a great wikifriend of mine (Always Learning) out of here due to his harrassing in the latter, and is now trying to find something to lock me out of here. But I'll remain calm, as always.
Now going to a "more darker" subject, Palmeiras just signed Willian José?! OMG, the guy is worse than Captain Hook playing football (hahahahahaha). Cheers man, MYS77 03:02, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • We asked another user (an admin) and yes, it is allowed to speak Portuguese in the talk pages, despite that some other users don't like it. Also, I always respected Palmeiras so much (I'm a Santos supporter), but these last two managements were ridiculous! Belluzzo chose the worst options for the club, and Nobre (after trying to fix everything in his first year in charge) is doing everything wrong too! There's too many bad teams this year, so I think Palmeiras will be fine... IDK how Santos is doing so well this year! MYS77 02:32, 6 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Palmeiras doesn't have a team worse than Chapecoense, Criciúma, Coritiba, Bahia, Vitória, and many, many others, in my opinion. The club only need a creative midfielder, Bruno César clearly can't handle it and I think he isn't the right guy. Valdivia left, and Palmeiras has the same problem as Santos has: lacks creativity. Lucas Lima is the only guy who creates something, and when he touches more than two times in the ball without being knocked down is a miracle! Cheers, MYS77 22:59, 6 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, and also the fans have to support the players, booing them will not help that much, of course. Cheers, MYS77 23:24, 6 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • They have their right to be unhappy. It's a difficult situation to be in. Maybe with another change in the board, Palmeiras finds the right "path" to be in a better financial and footballing situation. MYS77 23:41, 6 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Invite to the African Destubathon

edit

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dealing with disruptive behaviour

edit

There is a user named Claudiogostoso who repeatedly makes unconstructive changes to club seasons like adding unsourced material. They also do not listen to warnings or messages. This tells you everything you need to know. How do you deal with him? The account also accesses IP addresses to circumvent the block.--EpicAdventurer (talk) 23:08, 8 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
Yeah, i've tried contacting him but got little to no answer. I've had to report him for Wikipedia:Disruptive editing and Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring that was the only thing that worked.
Hope you can solve this situation. Guilherme (talk) 02:07, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:27, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
