Welcome

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your efforts to improve articles on football clubs, but a few tips/FYIs:

  • Do not change information that is sourced, as you did with the Falmouth Town capacity – the source for it states the capacity is 6,000. If you wish to amend it, you should provide a new source with the revised information.
  • Please don't add unsourced capacities to articles – this has long been an issue with non-league clubs. Reliable sources may be the club or league website, Non-League Club Directory or the media. Blogs or informal websites are not generally considered acceptable. If you do not have a reliable source for the capacity, please don't add the information.
  • We do not use sponsored names for stadiums unless they have always been known by a sponsored name, hence why (e.g.) AFC Bournemouth's ground is listed as Dean Court rather than the Vitality Stadium.

If you have any queries on editing, please let me know. Cheers, Number 57 21:40, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know I have discussed it with family and will try to add sources for my information next time and look into it a bit further GuineaSquid (talk) 01:08, 7 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
No problem. Rather than write the refernece in the edit summary, it is best to add it to the article when you make the edit like this. If the reference isn't added, it is unlikely that other editors will spot it in the edit summary when looking at the article in future.
Separately I have avoided using that site as I am not entirely convinced of its reliability for lower division non-league grounds. I would be interested to know where they get the information, as many capacities do not seem to be published elsewhere. Cheers, Number 57 17:37, 7 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
