Edit summaries

edit

Hi Guy Without Name. Please use an accurate description for your edit summaries. Using "fixed typo" for all of your contributions is not helpful. It may be useful for you to review Help:Edit summary so you have an idea of what is expected in an edit summary. Thanks. — Manticore 22:39, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to Family Guy. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. — Manticore 10:12, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to make edits with misleading or inaccurate edit summaries, even if unintentional, as you did at Goodnight, Seattle, you may be blocked from editing. — Manticore 10:21, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Nip/Tuck. — Manticore 11:33, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

There was no typo. You made it worse. Don't be fixing typos if you can't. 199.80.8.254 (talk) 20:25, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

User:Daniel Case, please have a look at these edits. I didn't go through all of them, but I saw enough to be concerned; I think we're dealing with an LTA. Thanks. 199.80.8.254 (talk) 20:26, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Most of those edits haven't been reverted yet, and look like they're within. Sometimes people just pick "fixed typo" from the dropdown menu, sometimes they don't really know enough to explain themselves better. Daniel Case (talk) 20:31, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Saul Gone, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AMC. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:06, 11 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Actual airdate of the "Teach Me" episode of "Growing Pains"

edit

Checking the newspaper archives, I was unable to find an airing for that episode on October 18, 1989. Instead, a World Series game was listed. I wonder if the episode was originally scheduled for that day, but got postponed to a later date, and I also wonder if the San Francisco earthquake had something to do with the possible postponement? Please stop making those changes at Sonic Superstars. There is nothing wrong with the use of the word "divisive" in English, and your subbing in of the word "divided" is awkwardly done. Furthermore, the sentence is way too long/complicated when you merge sentences. Please stop doing this, it is not an improvement. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 11:14, 1 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Wham2001. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of The Simpsons episodes without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Wham2001 (talk) 20:37, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Young Sheldon. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please see WP:NOTBROKEN which states: There is usually nothing wrong with linking to redirects to articles. Some editors are tempted, upon finding a link to a redirect page, to bypass the redirect and point the link directly at the target page. However, changing to a piped link is beneficial only in a few cases. Piping links solely to avoid redirects is generally a time-wasting exercise that can actually be detrimental.YoungForever(talk) 13:38, 31 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Qflib (talk) 01:56, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
