vulgar punctuation mistakes

edit

Why do you insist on so many vulgar punctuation mistakes in the Founding Fathers of the United States article. I just spent an hour fixing all of those and I get an edit-conflict notice. Michael Hardy (talk) 06:34, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Michael Hardy, not 100% sure what you're referring to, but I'll search through your contributions history and find and fix those now before getting back to the other parts of the project. Regards, GwiIIhickers (talk) 06:37, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello again Michael, seeing what appears to be some hyphen/dash-related edits but still not clear on what the nature of the vulgar mistakes are; will keep an eye on your ongoing edits to see if I can understand the restorative corrections you are requesting, feel free to add additional explanation here if you believe it might help the cause. Also just "downgraded" the top template from "in use" to "under construction" to more readily encourage community collaboration. Regards, GwiIIhickers (talk) 06:54, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ranges of pages or of years or of other numbers require an en-dash, not a hyphen, and "p." means "page" and "pp." means "pages". Michael Hardy (talk) 06:51, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks for the reminder, can definitely do that for the years, still not sure why the reference page numbers switched punctuation marks as those have simply been in sections cut/copy-pasted up and down the page. Thanks for all of your help by the way. GwiIIhickers (talk) 06:58, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
