Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Garrett Whitlock. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Katieh5584 (talk) 21:02, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
As someone who was "working with" Whitlock, you have a conflict of interest and should not be directly editing the article or any content about him. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:16, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
- Secondly, as per WP:42 and WP:BLP1E, in order to have a stand alone article, there would need to be significant content about Whitlock, outside of his involvement with the band, published in reliable third party sources such as books, national newspapers or major music magazines. You can make a suggestion for someone to create an article by collecting such sources and using the WP:RA process. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:20, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
I was trying to create a stand alone article and at first it somehow got attached to the Submersed page and made it look like I was trying to do an edit. I have not worked with Garret as of yet. Haven't met him face to face. I collected information from online magazines, wikipedia, you tube, and Garrett himself. Is this still a conflict of interest?
- If you have to ask, then yes you have a conflict of interest that will prevent you from providing a appropriately neutral approach to the subject. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 00:10, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
