Speedy deletion nomination of Cheley Camp
editA tag has been placed on Cheley Camp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. 2 says you, says two 19:36, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry about my slow response. I got distracted by other enterprises. I added some content and posted some additional sources on the talk page. You can also have a look at Google books and see what's there. ChildofMidnight (talk) 21:41, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- No problem, thanks! Have a merry christmas/happy Hanukkah (even though its already over)/happy kwanza/happy holidays!! -HaiyaTheWin IS The Win! 17:57, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Hey I see you signed on my signature page. Congratulations! You're the first. You have great boldness although I'm not sure you signed in on the right section. Hmmm... ChildofMidnight (talk) 00:48, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I did sign. I noticed the link when going to your talk page once. And how did I sign the wrong section? HaiyaTheWin IS The Win! 00:52, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know if you did or not. The bottom section on that page looks very enticing. But perhaps you did the right thing. ChildofMidnight (talk) 00:57, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it is very colorful and animated... but it had police lights at the top, and I've had bad experiences with those in the past... whimpers
- BTW, for the bacon challenge thing, are you supposed to find bacon foods, make bacon foods, or just create articles on bacon foods you've seen places? HaiyaTheWin IS The Win! 01:10, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- If you check out the bacon challenge 2010 page, there's a link at the top of my page, it includes some listings of possible article subjects that may give you ideas. You can also check out last year's competition (there should be a on this year's challenge page). I would say that finding, making, creating articles about, and, occasionally, eating bacon are all important components. But please don't follow Kelapstick's example. Serving a bacon explosion to your friends and family is just too much. ChildofMidnight (talk) 01:21, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Also The Legendary Sky Attacker seems to have taken a leave of absence, so his articles will need to be adopted. Some of them are pretty fun (a bacon burger, bacon fuel, and bacon chocolate). ChildofMidnight (talk) 02:26, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Where can I find his articles? Are they on his user page or on the main space? Also, I must inquire, why has he been blocked indefinantly, and is that the leave of absence you were talking about?
- User:ChildofMidnight/Bacon Challenge 2010#Articles under construction for a March 1 debut They're in his userspace, but only because the bacon challenge seeks to debut a bunch of bacon articles and DYK noms all at the same time. Collaborative editing is encouraged, so anyone is welcome to help improve them. I will try to do so in the New Year also if I get a chance. Oh, he was blocked based on the way he, sort of, retired. ACC request
editYes, I did request an account ACC to be able to create users.
If you check the Geography template at the bottom of the page you will see that it is part of an important series. Please be more careful when suggesting pages should be deleted, because in this case you are clearly 100% incorrect. - Shiftchange (talk) 01:24, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Vandal advisory
editRe this, you were right. And you can warn vandals with boilerplate warnings. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 23:46, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. I'm always a bit hesitant with things like that. HaiyaTheWin IS The Win! 02:55, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- It takes a bit of getting used to, but you'll get so you can ID vandalism by sight. Beware the split-page display, tho; it can suggest somebody's a vandal who really isn't. (I know, I've gotten bitten by it.) If you're careful with that, you should be fine. Or, if you really don't feel comfortable with it, just don't. Either way, welcome!
