Cambyses I
editHi! I received a note on my userpage from Doug Weller about some edits you and Drnewell29 were making to the article on Cambyses I. From his edit comments and a look over the content, it looks like the additions were about the wrong Cambyses. If you look at the portion on Thalia in the Histories article (the book by Herodutus), it shows that Cambyss II was the one who warred with Egypt and had mental issues. This is something that can happen easily and the only way to really prevent it is to just be very careful when you're researching, especially when dealing with people who are named after others in their line or after someone famous. Also, if you see that your content has been removed, please read over the edit history comments to see if there was a reason left for its removal. (You can do this by clicking the "view history" tab located to the left of the search bar.
Now that said, your sourcing looks to be good - just make sure that you're adding this to the right article and that in the case of the Herotodus work, that you're pairing this up with a secondary, independent source. If you can find anything more recent, that would be ideal. :) Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:37, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you Shalor. I've been able to fix this by finding a different secondary source the reflects a number of ancient authors concerning Cambyses I's consort, Mandane. Thank you for your help. HannahMoore350 (talk) 20:24, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
