Speedy deletion nomination of User:Zentovproject
editA tag has been placed on your user page, User:Zentovproject, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sunmist3 (talk) 01:02, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
Contested deletion
editThis page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Zentovproject (talk) 01:06, 24 July 2016 (UTC) We are a non-profit organization whose mission it is to help people in arts and writing who otherwise may not be journalistic enough to write on Wikipedia. We will remove our logo from our user page. Maybe that will help? Please let us know what else we might do.
- There is no distinction between for-profit and non-profit organizations regarding promotional content, even if it's for a noble purpose. You can create a Zen Tov Project article, but it needs to be written from a neutral perspective, and meet our notability requirements. I would suggest going to Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation and creating a draft. I assume you are associated with the Zen Tov Project; if you are, you may have a conflict of interest and need to declare it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Sunmist3 (talk) 01:27, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
Actually, I am not on here to write about the Zen Tov Project at all. Just to be a contributor, editor. Perhaps I don't need a user page at all? Please advise. Zentovproject (talk) 01:31, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
- You probably should have a user page, but you don't have to. Just remove the promotional content and it should be fine. You may want to take a look at WP:USERPAGE for more information. Also, accounts may only be used by one person; if you happen to need multiple accounts, just create them. Sunmist3 (talk) 02:21, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from User:Zentovproject, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —MRD2014 T C 01:11, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to User:Zentovproject. Please make your case on the page's talk page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. —MRD2014 T C 01:18, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for letting me know. I am new to this Wikipedia and page (though not new to editing and contributing). I cleaned it up again, my apologies, but I have definitely written in the Contest Speedy Deletion section now. Thank you. Zentovproject (talk) 01:28, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
Your username
editWelcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Zentovproject", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 06:21, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

editThere have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.
If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?
You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the three important principles above. PhilKnight (talk) 00:37, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Yes, of course I understand all three bullet points. I want to clarify, I, by habit, used my organization user name. I added what I thought was a profile page, not an article. Many sites ask you to add a profile about yourself, so other writers will know with whom they are conversing. I in no way wanted or want any article to be written about me, as I am not notable. It would be a bit silly. I have no intention to be here as part of a business directory; I simply want to do what I love most, which is to write and edit and create. I understand conflict of interest. I somehow made a huge mistake in using the habitual user name, and then adding what I thought was a profile, so that I could then go on and use Wikipedia. This is not my intention and I have since gone through the massive amounts of information about how to be a part of Wikipedia. I would love to get past this, if I may, and be a regular user on Wikipedia with my regular name. I hope you understand. Many thanks. Zentovproject (talk) 02:10, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
- That seems good enough to unblock now, but we already have two users called HannahB and Hannah.B on other projects, and your chosen username is too similar to those (especially to HannahB). Please adjust your request to choose a different username, and I'll be happy to do the rename for you. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:59, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Thanks so very much. I will use hannahb1836. I really appreciate it. Zentovproject (talk) 02:22, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
- All done, renamed and unblocked. Welcome back. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:25, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
