Curps WoW Bot
editCurps is semi away but I'll reply in place. In short, Curps doesn't give that code away to anyone (not even me and I run the other big vandal busting bot) - Tawkerbot2 should soon have anti WoW capabilities anyways, which will make life easier (and stop the vandalism) -- Tawker 23:36, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- How do you operate the bot? Greets, HardDisk 12:11, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's python using IRC to get edit histories -- Tawker 06:34, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- One question: How do you find out page blanking as the RC feed doesn't provide page length after/before? greets,HardDisk 00:18, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Re: VandalProof
editHeya HardDisk, sorry for taking so long to respond--I've been out of things recently (your post even got archived before I had a chance to respond!). Anyway, as you're not the only requesting this, I went ahead and uploaded the source I'm using in v1.3 to scrape the RSS feed to User:AmiDaniel/VP/RSS source. If you have any questions about how it works, feel free to ask. As for controlling the IE browser--they certainly did not make it easy, and there's really no documentation anywhere. The only way I found to manipulate it was using JavaScript, which it understands for the most part. If you have any specific questions about how to perform certain actions, I'll be glad to answer them.
On another note, I know that you're quite active on the German Wikipedia, and that's the first non-English Wiki I was planning on making VP available for. If you have some available time, I could certainly use your help with a few things (it's not going to be urgent though, as I'm postponing interwiki releases until 1.3.1). Fair use rationale for Image:UT2004 ToiletCar.png
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:UT2004 ToiletCar.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 15:55, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:UT2004 ToiletCar.png)
editThanks for uploading Image:UT2004 ToiletCar.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:32, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
LOL
editOn your revert to Diane Kruger, I think that is the first edit summary that made me LOL. Thanks for the laugh (and the work)! Mmdoogie (talk) 20:46, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
