User talk:Harry-/Archive 1
I just wanted to explain this... I accidentally reverted a whole bunch of edits when I meant to just revert the inappropriate external link. The IP reversion was me reverting my mistake from another browser. I've now restored the article to the state before the external link was added. Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 18:55, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. It looked like a vandal reverting your removal-of-external-images. I removed the warning, I think! Harry (talk) 19:00, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Users are allowed to blank or remove warnings placed on their talk page (the idea being if they blank the warning, they must have seen it and read it). If they keep doing what they've been doing simply escalate the warnings as usual. Moving the talk page and removing the CSD tags are indeed problems though, I'll deal with them. Thanks for the notice. Prodego talk 23:33, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

- Looks nice, I shall try it out. I was hoping for a more "automatic" solution, but this will work great for now. Thanks! Harry (talk) 20:16, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- That's what I was thinking but I don't know how to go about it. I might apply for someone to do so at the Village Pump. Still no luck on the huggle front though. CJ Drop me a line! • Contribs 20:26, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
tweaked your indexing config
editI took the liberty of tweaking your index setup...you had a nonexistent target page and you were indicating an indexing template where there was none. It will work now...If you have any questions, please ask. :)

81.144.235.66
editHarry - I note you have been giving warnings to 81.144.235.66. I just noticed that this person (or persons) had put nonsense into a page about myself and (although I obviously don't edit the page myself) I have undone the revision because it is blatantly wrong, and I believe such changes are within Facebook rules. I note that the IP address was on a last warning but don't know how to do anything about that. I flag it because you might want to follow it up. I should say that his allegation (that I have left the Lib Dems and joined Labour) has been put on the page before without any evidence, so it's not the first time! Thanks. - Hello. You may want to check out Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism if the user has gotten a final warning and persists. I won't do anything right now as they appear to have stopped, but if they do it again then please use that page to report them. Thanks! Harry (talk) 16:51, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Serial vandal
editIt looks like 213.160.188.205 is a serial vandalizer. He/she has been quite busy. I'm working backwards through his/her edits, and they're all junk. Mark Sublette (talk) 22:58, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- I can't do much about it, but I suggest reporting him if he starts it again. Harry (talk) 03:06, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
" Perspection" as a formal English term_
editOn the back pages of Wikipedia, I noticed the term " perspection" being used. How possible that it may be documented throughout dictionary range, including Oxford. 41.157.70.10 (talk) 03:15, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Dabokam land
editHello Harry. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Dabokam land, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to "land". Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:12, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Regarding Link Removal
editHello Harry,
I respect your thought. But my motive behind placing the link was just to give people an example of how a typical escorts agency website looks like. I don't think that it is inappropriate by any means. Please reply.

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Harry. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Harry~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Alphonso page
editMy change was to switch from passive to active voice. This is generally considered better style and I'm surprised at the revert. The whole page suffers from poor flow and this was the preliminary cleanup of obvious style problems. 212.64.67.52 (talk) 18:57, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, I assumed it was 'cleaver' vandalism because the previous version looked proper to me, and your edit was grammatically incorrect with "Alphonso's died". Feel free to change it back if you think the flow is better! Harry- (talk) 19:04, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Editing "the most common food types"
editHello harry,
Regarding your last edit of the following link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_group
Since you the only one I can ask, I see that in the above given link on the tap "the most common food types" that you all missed mentioning "sea foods",
Please do due diligence and edit it if you will,
Not that I am a type of Wikipedia user like you, but just wanted to tell someone with authority,
Good luck,
TamerKadmany--TamerKadmany (talk) 20:42, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi @TamerKadmany, welcome to Wikipedia! I have looked at that article, but I think seafood is already included as an example in the "meat/protein" group (as "fish")? However, I have sent some useful links to your page giving a bit of more information how Wikipedia works; it does not matter if you frequently edit articles or not, your edits will be judged equally! So please read those links I have sent you, and then feel free to expand the section in that article some more if you have a good idea on how to do that. In the worst case, someone can change your edit; but there would be no harm done :) Good luck, and welcome again! Harry- (talk) 17:11, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
