Hi

edit

No, I am a Khalsa. I feel sorry for you because you are misguided in your edits. As a Sikh I live by Guru Gobind Singh's teachings, as Guru Gobind Singh said, "A Sikh has high Wisdom but is humble". We should respect everyone the Guru would be horrified if we did not respect & help everyone. A Sikh is NEVER aggressive, rude or offensive and we are ALWAYS flexible, open-minded and help our fellow human brothers. The only exception is on the battlefield in war, where you fight as a very last resort in self-defence (only then is God on your Side and you will be victorious, if you break this rule then God is against you and you will be defeated). If you are a Sikh then you are my brother then I will help you. Those RSS idiots have got nothing to do with this.--Sikh scholar (talk) 11:17, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Singh. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. utcursch | talk 12:13, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The issue is clear -- you're adding unsourced statements to the article, and its truthfulness is being challenged by others. Please back your changes with reliable references. utcursch | talk 15:24, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
The pronunciation has been explained on the talk page earlier -- the word is spelled with an anusvara, and the pronunciation of anusvara varies greatly. It's not always "n" (Sinha), as you state. utcursch | talk 11:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

you are twisting hindi language to your advantage..please refer which hindi manuel states what you are saying....so how should it be written in hindi script please state that... Harrybabbar (talk) 16:40, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just read the article on anusvara, or in case you don't trust the article, search books.google.com for "Anusvara" . utcursch | talk 04:19, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, by the way, just saw your comment on Talk:Sardarji jokes. In case you didn't know already, I'm not a Hindu. You've already been blocked by three different admins for different reasons. If you continue to make disruptive comments and edits, you may be blocked indefinitely. Please see Wikipedia:Civility. utcursch | talk 11:46, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Final warning

edit

This is your final warning. Please stop making disruptive edits and adding unsourced material to the article Singh. utcursch | talk 10:38, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gurkhaboy and others are not trying to claim that Sikhs copied the name "Singh" from the Rajputs. On the other hand, you're indulging in disruptive editing by adding unsourced information, and claiming that the non-Sikhs copied the name from the Sikhs. If Gurkhaboy, adds something like "The non-Rajputs copied the name from the Rajputs", I'd warn him as well.
Your claims are contested by other users, and you've failed to provide any source for them. The pronunciation /Siŋɣə/ is not unique to Punjabi language or Sikhism -- it's same in many other languages derived from Sanskrit as well. Here are some refs for you to read:
  • Classical Dictionary of Hindu Mythology and Religion by John Dowson, Page xviii, ISBN 0766175898.
  • Jats, the Ancient Rulers: A Clan Study by Bhim Singh Dahiya, Page 5.
You're trying to turn the entire issue into an ethnic dispute in a Sikh vs Rajput, which is against the Wikipedia's collaborative spirit (by the way, I'm not a Rajput; also, there are many Sikh Rajputs -- by posting comments like these, you're portraying yourself in a very negative light). utcursch | talk 05:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think other editors have argued enough with you. You asked for sources, which have been provided in article, as well as above. On the other hand, you've been adding unsourced claims to the article in spite of being requested not to do so. You've been blocked twice in past, so I think a block of one month seems fair enough. utcursch | talk 11:31, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

up yours..i will be back. Harrybabbar (talk) 07:46, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
