License tagging for Image:Dura-Europos.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Dura-Europos.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks my brother. Well if it wasn't for your work, Abu Kamal wouldn't be what it is now, all I did was remove unnecessary data and organize the article, it was quite a mess earlier. I think it was OK to talk about the dress and marriage, even though it was more detailed than needed, but more info never hurts, right? ;) The problem is that more important parts of the article need further details and expansion, most importantly the history and other information on the demographics. I assume you are originally from Abu Kamal, the article could use a picture or 2, so if you have any suitable pictures, it would be great. Thanks again for your message, I appreciate what you said. If you need any help, you know where to find me. And oh, I see nobody has welcomed you till now, so welcome my friend! Better late than never. :) --Anas Salloum 10:18, 26 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your kind words. I tried to access the e-mail but I guess the password is incorrect. Here's a quicker way, I suggest you go to [1] and upload the images and give me separate direct links to all images. The pictures were taken by you, right? If they are retrieved from search engines or a copyright website, it is illegal to use them here, if so, that's why they were deleted. Anyways, I'll be waiting and thanks again Hassan. :) --Anas Salloum 19:36, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot! The photos you sent were brilliant. :) There is one problem though, I couldn't download some images, which are "1", "2-3", "Dura Europes", and "The Last", because I use a dial-up connection, because of the pathetic internet connectivity available in Saudi Arabia. Their sizes are too big for my connection (and patience), so it would be greatly appreciated and much easier if you resize these images (by some image editor, I suggest using http://www.imageresizer.com/) to a reasonable size (20% sounds OK) and upload them again. I'm terribly sorry. And oh, thanks for the present. :D --Anas Salloum 12:30, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot Hassan! I'm sorry I'm late, I didn't check the e-mail. Anyways, I will add the images ASAP. Thanks again, amazing work. :) --Anas Salloum 01:08, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have deleted the article you just created, as it is not in english. One requirement for all articles here, being the English Wikipedia, is to be written in a dialect of that language. Thanks for contributing, happy editing to you! Teke 03:51, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
