Warcraft WP ToDo

edit

Here are some issues with the WCWP ToDo list. I didn't know where to post them, so if there's a better place (the project page?) please let me know and I will relocate them.

These three articles are (pardon my french) retarded, "Silverleaf" doesn't even exist:

Please explain to me how to put articles as AfD, so we can wipe these stupid snippets. BTW, regarding the whole AfD thing, it's probably best to aim low and take out the crap (not cruft) first!  :)

Another thing I don't know how to do is change the redirect. A few of the articles listed on the "expand" list have shoddy redirects and I would like to fix that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by OrcShaman42 (talkcontribs)

I've made Canal District a redirect to Stormwind, Felguard is now a redirect to Races in the Warcraft universe. Silverleaf allready redirects to Professions (World of Warcraft). Havok (T/C/c) 07:27, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

WoW Race/Class Changes

edit

I left some comments on the various subject talk pages, but also decided to say something here. I was just wondering why much of the racial ability information was just deleted. I understand Wikipedia is not a "game guide" but as I understand it is a source of all information that would be considered useful to know by someone looking up that subject. While I understand that maybe some of the articles could have been presented a little differently (requiring some cleanup) I think that just deleting information is counterproductive to the growth and usefulness of the site in general. Maybe we could come up with a new idea, perhaps presenting the information differently? But just deleting info just does't seem right in this place. Chiguayante 17:37, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Misunderstanding

edit

My comment was directed at no individual, rather anyone that plays World of Warcraft. And it could be interpreted as a compliment. Thank you for concern. Coderx 17:43, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stop this

"Please, do not add game guide information to this article. Wikipedia is not a strategy guide. Havok (T/C/c) 11:09, 23 September 2006 (UTC)"

Since you have already told me that you are not a moderator, stop acting like one. Do not tell me what to do. This makes the second time I have gotten this message from you. If you do it again, I will look into alerting the real moderators. Hyde v 18:00, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I warned you. Hyde v 21:46, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the Nintendo DS Lite image

edit

Could you please add the correct tag for Image:Nintendo DS Lite side.jpg? That would allow people to move it to Commons later if found suitable (note that, because of lack of the tag, the image is currently uncategorized). Thanks. -- ReyBrujo 04:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that is good enough. Thanks! -- ReyBrujo 13:29, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Completely useless

edit

What did you do to the World of Warcraft Class sections? They are now completely useless! That information, if a little clustered, was used by individuals such as myself to learn about the game before I spent my hard earned money on it. I understand that Wikipedia is not a game guide, but those articles weren't either. We have mile long pages on numerous topics that are less usefull to the average Wikipedian than those class pages. If I wanted a game guide, I would go to WoWWiki. But WoWWiki is clustered. I needed Wikipedia pages that would teach the basics. You took that away from me. I have refrained from reverting the pages while I wait for your apolegtic response. :( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.238.107.236 (talkcontribs)

If you feel I am wrong in my edits, use the discussion page please. I cleaned up the articles because they where against Wikipedia policy. If you want to learn how to play the game, I would suggest visiting www.worldofwarcraft.com, www.worldofwar.net and numerous other websites that have the information you are looking for. With apologies to our host Mr.Havoc - if the articles were not a games guide why did you need them to teach you the basics. I've checked the pages and I support his edits. --Charlesknight 21:08, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Skythrone released

edit

srry, I read the part about no external links and realized my mistake; in hindsight I guess I just thought it would be conveniant to mention the site adress because it is not even in google's directory yet and I thought some sort of reference would be needed; anyway, this is just that note telling you that skythrone has finally been released,

srry, I hope im not making a nuisance of myself

What the hell is it, I've never heard of it before... Havok (T/C/c) 07:13, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is a new Warcraft custom map/mod; though released, i find that it has some bugs now that I have played it multiplayer. The site is a little messed up, but it is still accessible
