Froude number
editHello, you suggested another form, using the Froude-number squared, but not the left-hand side squared. If you have reasons to do so, then perhaps another symbol than Fr should be used. Otherwise this may be confusing. Crowsnest (talk) 20:39, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. It is totally confusing. I'm not sure what the best course of action would be for the article, since both forms appear in literature, and the form I added is not called 'Fr^2' when it is used. (The preferred equation seems to depend on the field of study.)

- I re-instated the Froude number, as you have put it in, but with a "hat" on the Fr. If you have information on when which definition is used: that might reduce the possible confusion. — Crowsnest (talk) 20:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
