Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Bleakcomb (talk) 04:10, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Orange, New South Wales. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 07:10, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Need some help?

edit

Hi Haydo0911,

Looks like you are a bit lost. Along with the edits you have made today to the Orange page I have reverted some edits you made to my talk page. In making the edits to my talk page you deleted some text. In general this is not a desirable thing to do to someone else's talk page. From the look of what you put onto my talk page you where trying to put some information about yourself on Wikipedia. This is a good thing to do. The correct place though, is your user page (just click on the link and edit). Remember it is not a good idea to put your name, school or other identifying information anywhere on Wikipedia including your user page, particularly if you really are still of school age.

Also, if someone reverts an edit you make and you don't understand why, ask politely for clarification on their user talk page. On their talk page just click the "+" right at the top of the page, enter a heading for your question and the question in the text box followed by four tildes (~~~~). Press preview to check your edits.

Also remember to login to you user account before making edits and fill in the edit summary box before saving changes to articles. Happy editing. Bleakcomb (talk) 10:35, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
