Better source request for File:Albert Einstein World Award of Science Medal.png

edit

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:03, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically Template:Albert Einstein World Award of Science Laureates, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 04:58, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Albert Einstein World Award of Science, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Philip Cohen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. World Cultural Council

edit

You have been adding the category and template for World Cultural Council to various biographies, stating in your edit summary that the person in the biography was a "founding member of the World Cultural Council". I checked two of those articles, S. Paul Ehrlich Jr. and Charles Tanford, and nowhere in either article is "World Cultural Council" mentioned. Why are you adding this unsourced content? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:34, 8 November 2016 (UTC).Reply

Hi User:Magnolia677. Within the page of the World Cultural Council, I set a reference to where I found the information. In this case the source is http://www.consejoculturalmundial.org/about-us/. Do I have to add the source to every page I change? I can gladly do so. I'm somewhat new to talk pages, so thanks in advance for your patience. Healing Mandala (talk) 23:43, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

My concern is that you claim the person in the biography is a member of the template, but nowhere in the article is it mentioned that they are a member. I'm not sure of the exact policy about this, but WP:V would likely cover it. You could probably add the same sentence as text (with a source) to all of the biographies. If you'd like me to do one of the biographies as an example, with a properly formatted source, please let me know. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:53, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I understand you. If you can do one example, I'll gladly edit all of the articles I touched today (which were around 80). Thank you so much for caring! Healing Mandala (talk) 00:01, 9 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Not as easy as I thought. Some bios already mention the World Cultural Council in the article. In other articles, it was really tough to find a place to shoehorn in the sentence. I made an edit to Arthur Pardee. The exact edit looks like this:
In 1981, Pardee was a founding member of the [[World Cultural Council]].<ref>{{cite web | title = About Us | publisher = World Cultural Council | url = http://www.consejoculturalmundial.org/about-us/ | accessdate = November 8, 2016}}</ref>.
Thank you for your hard work. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to leave a message on my talk page. Magnolia677 (talk) 00:27, 9 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Magnolia677 for all your help! I'll edit all the pages and be consistent with Wiki conventions. It may take a few days, but it will be done. Thanks once again. Healing Mandala (talk) 03:22, 9 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi again! I changed all pages related to the reference you kindly provided. I have a question that I posted in the Teahouse, but there is no answer yet. What is better according to the Wiki style? 'Founding members', 'Founder members' or 'charter members'. I asked because I created a category and template and I may need to change them according to what the best practice is. Thanks in advance, Healing Mandala (talk) 01:15, 10 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
It's a good question, but I've never created a template, so I'm not the best person to ask. They're very helpful at the Teahouse so you should get a response soon. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 01:36, 10 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
