Hi @Heartfox:! I just stumbled across your sandbox here from this page, and I'm floored by the amount of effort and work you've put into this! I'm also really into researching & digging up old Nielsen ratings so it's always really fun to come across someone else who is as well. I'm the person who did all of those clippings from the LA Times on Newspapers.com that you've linked to, and I'm very happy you came across those and were able to link to them here - I was totally unaware that by clipping those, they would become free to access. I clipped every week starting from the beginning of 1997 through February 2004 which is when the weekly ABC Medianet press releases begin. Additionally, on a different account, I also clipped about 3 years of LA Times ratings from 1981-1984 which include the HH ratings for every show of the week (example: [1]). Also, I noticed you were missing the USA Today chart for the week of Aug 31 - Sept 6, 1987 so here is a clipping of the LA Times from that week: [2] (includes HH rating but no share). Also, if there's anyway I can be of help with this project, please give me a holler! Rswallis10 (talk) 14:40, 12 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, for your 2007 chart, here are some links to a few Live+7 you're missing: Broadcast L+7 w/e 9/2/07 [3], Broadcast L+7 w/e 9/9/07 [4], Cable L+7 w/e 9/9/07 [5], Broadcast L+7 w/e 9/16/07 [6], and Cable L+7 w/e 9/16/07 [7]. Unfortunately, it looks like the Cable L+7 post for the w/e 9/2/07 was never archived. Rswallis10 (talk) 02:05, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Rswallis10: Thanks so much! This page was created so I don't have to go searching in ProQuest every time I wanted to add more ratings; I just added the quick links here. Yeah for whatever reason I'm drawn into TV ratings, and shockingly so few articles lack even basic ratings information for episodes. For example, there were no ratings on List of The Cosby Show episodes until I added them in the past two weeks. One of the most successful series ever! It does take some time/patience to be committed to repetitively enter numbers and citations but it's worth it because I find the information really fascinating (especially for more successful series like Cosby) and viewership information for late 80s-90s shows is almost impossible to find elsewhere online so it's great it can be here on Wikipedia and shared with others. Your clippings were a pain to find because there's like 5 different versions of the LA Times on Newspapers.com for each week (it took some time lol), but they're invaluable sources.
Eventually I will combine this with Wikipedia:List of U.S. television ratings archives but I have to convert the stuff that's already there with the stuff that's currently in the tables here. I think it's a great resource. You can edit/add stuff on here as well if you like. I'm particularly drawn to historical 18–49 ratings and viewership as it's more interesting than just doing household ratings alone. So I've started at the 1988–89 TV season as that's the first with Nielsen viewership available, adding ratings for each show in the season, and then I will continue on. I guess my goal is to complete ratings in articles for all US network primetime shows through the 90s, and then go forward or backward from there. There's a lot to do but it's kind of a fun hobby adding such info. Thanks for the barnstar and the links :) Heartfox (talk) 05:53, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Heartfox:} Hi Heartfox, I have an odd request for you. I've been using a lot of your work here in this sandbox to collect some of the old 18-49 ratings archives in The Hollywood Reporter from like 1999-2001. Unfortunately, there are a few sporadic weeks from Proquest that only load the second page (UPN & WB) but not the first (ABC, CBS, NBC, & FOX), and I was wondering if you might be able to grab those & send to me? The weeks in question are: April 2, 2001, April 30, 2001, May 14, 2001, June 4, 2001, June 11, 2001, June 18, 2001, June 25, 2001, July 23, 2001, and April 8, 2002.
I actually even made an excursion to the New York Public Library a few weeks ago to look through the hard copies of THR and their archives are also unfortunately missing the span of May-September 2001. I do have some fills for a few of the weeks that you're missing (Nov. 29, 1999, Dec. 6, 1999, Jan. 3, 2000, Jan. 17, 2000, Jan. 24, 2000, Jan. 31, 2000, Dec. 3, 2001) but obviously even if I uploaded them somewhere, you'd probably not be able to link directly to them. Let me know if you think this would be possible & I can provide you my email if so. Thanks again for all the work you're putting into this project. Rswallis10 (talk) 16:00, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Rswallis10: I took screen grabs of the weeks you listed. If you want to use the Wikipedia mail function please do so through my alt account User:Heartfox II. Thanks! Heartfox (talk) 23:20, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
