Mediation

A mediation case has been opened regarding the Polish-Ukranian WWII dispute. I have picked up that case. Here's the link:

Please undo

Please undo your last revert at Massacres of Poles in Volhynia, to avoid possible sanctions. The article is still under a 1RR restriction (one revert per editor per day). EdJohnston (talk) 20:12, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

reason

Massacres is plural, so it should be "were" and not "was" (which is singular). This is just a grammatical correction, not trying to change the direction of the sentence.--Львівське (talk) 20:45, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

There is problem with the title.

thanks for finding the page, i don't know why the search field wasn't producing any hits.--Львівське (talk) 20:11, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

dubious massacre photo

why do you insist on putting that in the lead / infobox when no other articles which use such an infobox put bodies in the lead? other articles show a memorial...you know, something tasteful. --Львівське (talk) 18:56, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

e.g. My Lai Massacre, infobox civilian attack...

Massacres of Poles in Volhynia

Hi! If the article is not about conflict on the present territory of Poland, it should be deleted sentences about killings in Prekhorile, Sakhryn, Pavlokoma etc. GlaubePL (talk) 15:27, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Why does such information need to be deleted? Poles in fact DID kill Ukrainians on those territories. Please explain. 68.186.207.156 (talk) 21:54, 11 January 2013 (UTC) Zawadka Morochowska, as an example, is a village where the Polish Army brutally massacred civilians, so it inserts bias if you do not present that side of the story. 68.186.207.156 (talk) 21:55, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Zawadka Morochowska massacres. Please refrain from personal attacks; leave messages on my Talk page, not on my User page [1].Hedviberit (talk) 12:10, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

List of Leopolitans

I'd like to let you know that I undid your edit since it is misleading and unnecessary.

Most of the known dwellers were Polish and lived in a Polish city.

To make a compromise with you, I'll leave the German name.

Thanks, 188.252.10.2 (talk) 21:00, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jan Długosz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kingdom of Poland. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

On your recent contribution to the article on Lithuanization

Dear fellow Wikipedian, as you are making a sourced statement that may raise a few eyebrows, I strongly recommend that you copy out the relevant passage (hopefully with enough context) from the book and put it in the reference, it will save everyone (including you) a lot of time and remove the possibility of mistranslation. Cheers. --Itzhak Rosenberg (talk) 20:08, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

@Itzhak Rosenberg: I'm afraid you need to be a little more specific. Which statement exactly? Hedviberit (talk) 20:33, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
The one about Zigmas Zinkevičius.--Itzhak Rosenberg (talk) 20:34, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

A precision to make

Dear Ms. Hedviberit, Thank you for your edits on the page Demographic history of the Vilnius region‎. However, while looking at the towns you had written in 1916 German Census, I noticed that one them - "Płauty" - doesn't really exist. After some searches, I determined that it could be this place (https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C5%82awy_(Bia%C5%82oru%C5%9B) ). Is this indeed the case? I am asking you this because I assume you have the source you referred to there. Best regards --Itzhak Rosenberg (talk) 08:02, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Ms. I think "Płauty" might be just a typographical error that was later repeated in other texts: Płanty->Płauty and the actual place is Плянты [be]. German source (1917-1718) mentions Planty.
Thank you, I'll make the appropriate corrections.--Itzhak Rosenberg (talk) 13:29, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Excuse me, but I had a question regarding the typhus page you edited. Is typhus notably known as a pandemic (like COVID) or an epidemic? (Not to be confused by the type of typhus called epidemic typhus) thank you in advance :) 49.207.195.11 (talk) 06:19, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
