Hello, HelenPorter. You have new messages at Wikipedia:Requests_for_feedback/2010_August_24.

Footnotes

edit

Footnotes can be added inline to the body of your text using <ref> tags. An example looks like:

JavaScript is used on webpages today.<ref>Smith, John (2005), ''JavaScript 101'', ISBN 938223445333</ref>

And the resultant text would look like: JavaScript is used on webpages today.1

With the superscript 1 being a link to a footnote at the bottom of the page automatically created by inserting the code: {{reflist}}

An easy to follow standard guide is at WP:Referencing for beginners with citation templates and a primer for general editing is at WP:How to edit a page (concise). Thanks, (talk) 14:42, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

February 2011

edit

  Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to DSM. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. your edit [1] does not link to an article, so has been removed. I know you are working on the article, so if/when it goes to the main article space (rather than your sub page) then create a link from the DAB page at that point. ok? oh, and if you have any affiliation with the company, please could you detail it here, as per WP:COI, thanks Widefox (talk) 14:14, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
