Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to List of sovereign states and dependent territories in North America, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please read Dependent territory and British Overseas Territories, the current header splits are in place for a reason. CMD (talk) 17:21, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi HelpfulHens! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of List of sovereign states and dependent territories in North America several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:List of sovereign states and dependent territories in North America, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 18:43, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Irish heritage railways

edit

Hi, and welcome! Just to say that I can see you have good intentions but please before making major changes to a page, consider discussion, and use edit summaries to explain your thinking. In this case, you may not be aware that the ITG and RPSI are not railways but membership organisations which do relevant restoration and touring work. They own / lease no lines. Anyway, we’re all happy to see a new editor and you’ll find we enjoy any good article improvement discussion. Thanks, SeoR (talk) 23:22, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Pleast take care with your edits. As you will be aware, I've undone one of your edits, WP:AGF that it was an error and not malicious. Mjroots (talk) 13:53, 14 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
To supplement the above, and after more edit reviews, please take it a little more carefully, and make use of edit summaries and Talk pages, especially if uncertain about any details (which counties of the island of Ireland are in which jurisdictions, for example).
