edit

Hello, I'm Shoy. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Operation Smile seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. shoy (reactions) 16:21, 5 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Shoy, I understand the rules of the NPOV among Wikipedia, which is why I have created this account as an employee with Operation Smile. I have been open and honest about my COI regarding the Wikipedia page. But, my edits have been strictly from third party resources to ensure my NPOV when updating information. Thank you for disclosing your connection to Operation Smile. I understand that you think you are being neutral, but your edits included phrases like "our youth" (written in Wikipedia's voice, remember that this is an encyclopedia article and not Operation Smile's website), "engages", "knack for leadership", and "Operation Smile works closely with educators to develop content and embed opportunities that educate students on the importance of being an engaged global citizen", which honestly is meaningless marketing-speak. Since you have a conflict of interest, please request edits on the article talk page. Read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide for more information. I appreciate the details of why I did not provide a NPOV in the text I edited! Thank you! I will make sure to avoid that tone. But I will continue to edit versus request edits for COI, the process takes too long. Please keep an eye on any of my edits though, I'd like your opinion on how I remain neutral.
