Attribution

edit

Hey, I hope you are doing well. I wanted to let you know why I reverted your creation of Lisa Swain (Coronation Street) - this is because the content was copied from List of Coronation Street characters (2021) without attribution, which is extremely unfair to the editors who added that content (including myself) and is required (see WP:Copying within Wikipedia). Additionally, the article did not really meet notability guidelines in its current state - Lisa's character is notable but the article needed more reception and information.

Additionally, I also reverted Lizzie Chen-Williams as most of the content was taken from List of Hollyoaks characters (2021) without attribution. I also noticed that some sentence were taken from a page I created - Honour Chen-Williams - without attribution too (with the exact same sentences, ref names, ref dates etc). This is extremely unfair to editors who put the hard work, so please refrain that from doing so in the future. I have noticed that the same issue - of content being taken from other pages - is present in your sandboxes/works in progress too, and this is just cause further trouble.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 00:48, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for contacting me and I apologise if I have breeched the rules with my post. Please could you give me some advice on how to go about correcting this, and any useful tips.
