 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Hello! On lead sections

edit

Greetings,

Four paragraphs is a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. On complex topics more than four paragraphs is warranted, for clarity and readability's sake. Thank you for talking about this, and here are some links where this has been discussed previously, for reference.

@VHarbee, Thanks for consulting! If you would like to start a discussion you can but not here, rather on the talk page of the September 11 attacks. Hezbollaist 14:54, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I have done so. VHarbee (talk) 14:56, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mohamed Atta

edit

I undid your edit removing Atta's height in the infobox section of his article. The height is sourced via the image of his Florida driver's license which can be seen on the "United States" section of the article. I would also like to congratulate you for a good job adding the correct 'Tashkeel' to the arabic of his name. Enginemen (talk) 19:14, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Enginemen Thank you! Regarding the height, the documentation in template person says that "If person was notable for their height, or if height is relevant." In Atta's case, certainly height isn't relevant as he is known for being a hijacker not for being a long lad. Hezbollaist 19:31, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Hezbollaist, does not comply with Wikipedia's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized here.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. 331dot (talk) 22:05, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:SheryOfficial per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/SheryOfficial. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 15:54, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
