Rickard Rakell
I went to the Penguins game on Thursday and got a pic of him. It's not the best, but it's okay; do you think we could include this in his article somewhere, at least? dannymusiceditor oops 01:13, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- DannyMusicEditor AHHHH!!!! Thanks so much . Could you possibly crop it a little closer to this face? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:17, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- I can try, but I presume the quality won't be great. I uploaded this from my Google Pixel 6 and I'm very new to this kind of thing. dannymusiceditor oops 01:19, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- No worries DannyMusicEditor, I think it I can still add it. Thanks so much for this! It is truly a pain trying to find photos of players. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:21, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- Gonna try tinkering with it a bit. I figured out how to use the tool and replace existing versions with the same filename. Give me a bit and I'll see what I can do. dannymusiceditor oops 01:27, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- I don't get it. I cropped it a second time and it looks good in the preview (and on my phone) but it shows much more than is actually there when I finished adjusting it. dannymusiceditor oops 01:30, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- I added it to the article DannyMusicEditor, I don't think it looks bad. It just can't be used as the infobox picture. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:41, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- I think it still needs reworked. I couldn't get one close enough to use as a headshot, sadly, but now it looks like it's squashed in there. I feel like I'm doing something wrong when editing it; if you know what to do then by all means you're welcome to crop it and fix it. EDIT: actually, the way it looks in the article right now looks fine. dannymusiceditor oops 01:43, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- Only fitting for him to have a two-goal game right after I upload this. dannymusiceditor oops 06:30, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- I feel like every time I greatly expand a page, the player does something good the next game. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 15:13, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

You previously blocked this editor for making uncivil comments and they have a long history of being disruptive as well. Well this editor is back to their old tricks and they could probably use another timeout. Deadman137 (talk) 21:41, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
Nevermind, another editor has already reported them at WP:ANI. Deadman137 (talk) 21:47, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
- Damn, a lot can happen in one hour. Thanks ONUnicorn for dealing with it. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:52, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
- I know, some editors just cannot put the stick down. They came back around yesterday so we now have an indefed editor that was blocked for harrassment and they have been caught socking with two different IPs in under 48 hours.
- Here's hoping that the next time that I interact with you that it will be for something content related and not this crazy bs. Deadman137 (talk) 17:59, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
Intention to disrupt Wikipedia
Hey. Where do I report an editor who indicated that he would start disrupting Wikipedia? Back in March 2023 I corrected the dates at Vladislav Gavrikov per WP:DATEFORMAT and WP:DATERET. These edits where then reverted and after restoring them I wrote to the editor at User talk:Marino13#Date format at Vladislav Gavrikov who quite clearly indicated that he does not care for WP:DATEFORMAT and WP:DATERET. Later the editor indicated the same thing on his user page by writing Also, when adding dates make sure it looks like this (i.e. January 1, 2017), not (i.e. 1 January 2017). Never do you hear anybody say the latter when engaging in conversation, so the first bracket is correct.
, and also started a ridiculous petition at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers#Petition to have dates start with the month, followed by the day, which was declined. After that I did not really pay attention to the editor, but I recently saw this edit summary, which quite clearly suggests that this particular editor should be at least warned by an administrator (or even blocked if disruption is started). Therefore, what do you suggest? – sbaio 16:12, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry for my delayed response sbaio but I've left a comment on their talk page. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:58, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
DYK for Jeff Wrana
On 23 April 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Jeff Wrana, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 2009 Jeff Wrana helped to develop a biological model that might play a role in predicting whether a woman is more likely to recover from breast cancer? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jeff Wrana. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Jeff Wrana), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
Not necessary
Why do you suggest this is not appropriate? Not everyone knows what NHL stands for. It is typical in its first reference in text below the lede to inline it. My understanding - tell me if I am wrong - is that the lede, infobox, and text below the lede are each considered separately when it comes to inlining. Perhaps I'm missing something special here?
