That was a fair edit, I can see how me saying "three editors" could be seen as trying to make a point. But the article said "many editors" up until today, which I thought was very misleading. Stu ’Bout ye! 16:10, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- I agree - "many editors" is also misleading. --HighKing (talk) 16:12, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
FYI
I note User:Dragley has reverted a couple of your edits. Þjóðólfr (talk) 19:56, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

I have asked you before not to make the changes you favour to the above article until the discussion about them is complete - just because you may have an opinion on something does not give you the right to continue to impose it on the article after being asked repeatedly to stop doing so. If you want it incorporated then partcipate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:British Isles Terminology task force/Specific Examples and follow it to its conclusion before making your edits. British Isles Taskforce/Specifics
Howdy HK. Black Kite has resigned from monitoring. GoodDay (talk) 01:02, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah I know Maybe he was so disgusted at MBM being a sock? --HighKing (talk) 01:10, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- How's anybody gonna be able to trust MBM, after his block expires (in January)? GoodDay (talk) 01:12, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- I believe if someone dug even deeper, they'd find more dirt... --HighKing (talk) 01:15, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- I can't trust him anymore. GoodDay (talk) 01:16, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- A quite shocking case of sockpuppetry, made all the worse by similar accusations made by MBM against HK from what I remember. HK, could you remind us of that. LevenBoy (talk) 17:41, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Wooah. I don't remember that. I've had a look and there's nothing in Talk pages. Mister Flash (talk) 19:16, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- Can someone explain the above. We've lost one editor as a sock so I'd like to know what this is about with HK, if he's a sock as well. Was there anything in it. Like I said, I couldn't find anything in Talk pages - did it get to a sock report, is it worth me wading through the archives? Mister Flash (talk) 15:57, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- Are you asking if I remember one particular personal comment or insult out of the (literally) thousands I've put up with? Eh .. no. --HighKing (talk) 17:43, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- Come on! If you can't stand the heat and all that. I note with dismay that Black Kite has retired, as GoodDay says. That's a problem because I was hoping he would institute topic bans here. I see that you are continuing .... LevenBoy (talk) 17:46, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- WP:BAIT suggest you leave it, but continue to use the agreed page to propose changes before making them. --Snowded TALK 17:49, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- HighKing has stopped using that page so why should anyone else use it? LevenBoy (talk) 18:29, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- He has put some stuff there today, but I agree he should use it. However the stalling behaviour there isn't helping, so can we all try and turn over a new leaf please? --Snowded TALK 18:44, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
- When are you going to stop this, boy?!! You're making an arse of yourself - HK I mean, not Snowded —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mister Flash (talk • contribs) 17:49, 11 December 2009 (UTC) --HighKing (talk) 03:21, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Never a dull moment on the Specifics page, eh? GoodDay (talk) 17:32, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Proposed WikiProject
I have made a proposal to establish a WikiProject for British-Irish Collaboration. A number of proposals are currently being made around initiates to improve collaboration between British and Irish editors on topics of mutual interest. A number of initiates have been adapted in the past, with varying degrees of success, but all positive in their intent to resolve these issues. A centralised WikiProject for British-Irish collaboration could act as a focus for initiatives to improve collaboration on these topics.
As an editor that has recently taken part in discussions around initiates like these, please comment on the proposal to establish a WikiProject for this purpose. Please also circulate this notice to other editors you feel may be interested. --rannṗáirtí anaiṫnid (coṁrá) 13:53, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about this [1] High King. I made a post on the page and for some unknown reason (to me) it deleted your own. I have replaced it though. Jack forbes (talk) 15:45, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'd seen that - no problem. --HighKing (talk) 16:02, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Your're having a laugh aren't you! You are just taking the piss here! That reference was unrelated to the fact at issue. And it was a crap reference anyway, from a third party, promotional website. And all just so that you can junk BI from the text. Mister Flash (talk) 15:42, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- Response posted on the SE page. Do not post on my Talk page on any topic again. --HighKing (talk) 16:02, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm no longer laughing. GoodDay (talk) 16:05, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
I've retraced my 'time out' suggestion. It's quite evident that the Specifics page is driving me bonkers. GoodDay (talk) 17:40, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Ya might consider reverting back to Republic of Ireland, in the content. Though I've no probs with the change, others probably will. GoodDay (talk) 23:39, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- No problem with the change. I changed it only from a copy edit perspective only (i.e. "Ireland is a state in Ireland"). I don't think there is a better way except by using "Republic of Ireland" - and you know I don't see the big deal - but I'm not going to revert it. (FYI will probably copy edit the rest of the page tomorrow evening BTW.) --rannṗáirtí anaiṫnid (coṁrá) 00:42, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- I've no problems with using "Republic of Ireland" in the proper place and in the appropriate context, but I have a very big problem with those that have less strict criteria of usage. (wait ... I'm seeing a pattern...) So, for example, the soccer team is named "Republic of Ireland" (although oddly enough, I've recently noticed that the player's shirts appear to have anything *but* that - I've seen Eire and Ireland so far). Similarly, when proper disambiguation is required, let's refer to it as "Republic of Ireland" - very sensible if you ask me. But just as we try to use the term, as a dab, sensibly, I strongly disagree when RoI is used unnecessarily. For the same reasons that we want to dab between north and south, we also want to be very careful that we don't somehow propagate the myth of the incorrect name. I don't want to see stupidity like "President of the Republic of Ireland", and I believe articles like "Courts of the Republic of Ireland" are also totally incorrect, and an example of a gross lack of respect *not* to use the correct name of the state in article titles. If any dab is required, it can go in the main body or the lede. So no, I won't be reverting the article so that the *first* use of the name of the country is incorrectly given as "Republic of Ireland" and I believe the text at least tried to use the term in a way that left no doubt to the reader. --HighKing (talk) 12:55, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

Thnx Jeanne. Sorta reminds me of someone - can't quite put my finger on it... --HighKing (talk) 14:42, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
British Isles
Are you going to stop this or what. I "haven't gone away" and I will revert all changes you make which appear to be designed simply to remove British Isles, unless they are backed up by expert opinion such as regular article editors. Your recent changes had no consensus. You're making the rules up as you go along. Mister Flash (talk) 15:30, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Merry Christmas
- Thank you. All the best for 2010 too! --HighKing (talk) 01:08, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
