Deleted page "Anders Parker"

edit

Hi. A page you created, or image you uploaded, Anders Parker, has been deleted in accordance with our speedy deletion policy, as it meets one or more of our criteria for speedy deletion. The relevant criterion is:

Blatant copyright infringement which meets these parameters: material was copied from another website which does not have a license compatible with Wikipedia; there is no non-infringing content in the page history worth saving; the infringement was introduced at once by a single person rather than created organically on wiki and then copied by another website such as one of the many Wikipedia mirrors; uploader does not assert permission (for images: no assertion aside from tags) or fair use, or the assertion is questionable.

You are welcome to rewrite your contribution to comply with our content policies and any applicable notability guidelines (you may find this page useful). However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content; it will be deleted again and may be protected from re-creation. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article. If you have any questions, please contact an administrator for assistance. Notability of Undertow music

edit

A tag has been placed on Undertow music requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CobaltBlueTony 16:07, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Highberry! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 194 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Will Johnson (musician) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Will-johnson-by-matt-pence.jpeg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Will-johnson-by-matt-pence.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Will Johnson (musician), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bright Eyes and Bedhead (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Don Gerard

edit

Note: I moved this comment that was posted on your user page to your talk page. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:46, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The article Don Gerard has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Small rural town mayor and judging from history, was heavily involved in creating this page. Suggestions of notoriety include solely, one blog with MTV in the title and his music career consists of bands that don't even have pages on wikipedia

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jamminjimmy (talk) 01:54, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Another editor objected to and removed the proposed deletion so the article will not be deleted through the proposed deletion process. However, it still may be nominated through the articles for deletion process. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:49, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
