Deleted pictures
editHello, the reason that I deleted the Aston Martin pictures was the license on flickr. This license had the -nd on it. the -nd means "no derivatives". Otherwise it was OK CC-BY is good but CC-BY-ND is not permitted for Wikipedia. The reason is that "Wikipeida is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit" This means that people should be able to alter the pictures, that is make a derivative. If the flickr images are yours, you can change the license to remove the -nd bit and then images will be acceptable to Wikipedia.
Another point is for images like File:Side view of DB4GT Zagato coupe at silverstone 1VEV.JPG where there you gave a good creative commons license, you can upload it to commons:upload where the pictures will be available to all the different language Wikipedias, not just English.
Somehow you managed to talk to me on my to do page, this was very strange! Any way keep on uploading the free images and improvong the car pages. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:42, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Rear view of Aston martin DB4GT Zagato (2VEV) at silverstone classic 2009.JPG
editThank you for uploading File:Rear view of Aston martin DB4GT Zagato (2VEV) at silverstone classic 2009.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 17:49, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Nomination of BBS Wheel Library for deletion
editA discussion has begun about whether the article BBS Wheel Library, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BBS Wheel Library until a concensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. The359 (Talk) 18:20, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
