Battle of Gully Hole Creek
editDo you have a reference for your changes to Battle of Gully Hole Creek? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 23:04, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Hello Bubba73, no I do not have a specific link reference for my changes. My source is a first hand account of a park ranger at Fort Fredrica, in St. Simons Georgia telling about the battle.
- There has always been a controversy about the number of casualties and deaths. Your edit took out a referenced number. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 18:29, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
Bubba73 I beleive the "referenced number" said heavy. I think a park ranger within 1 1/2 miles of the battleground would know what she was talking about. The fact was also stated in the park video.
- OK, then you should probably say in the article where you got the figures. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 22:48, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
ok, could you tell me how to cite them for a first hand account then?
- I'd probably put in a footnote, something like [1] (Look at the source to see how it is formatted.) Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:04, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
Notes
edit- ^ Figures given by film at Fort Frederica and a park ranger.
Discretionary sanctions notification
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

editHi History Man1812! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. - Hello, could you please let me know which edit it was/on which article it was so I can correct it? Thank you. History Man1812 (talk) 14:44, 18 May 2021 (UTC)History_Man1812

editHello, I'm Love of Corey. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2019 El Paso shooting, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Love of Corey (talk) 01:22, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
