re. nat'l anthem of ROC
editHi, I RV'd one of your edits on National Anthem of the Republic of China regarding the meaning of 黨. However, I'm no extreme expert on Classical Chinese so I didn't want to revert it without checking for info. What did you take it to mean that caused you to change the translation? I'm only really familiar with party offhand and looking through my dictionary I found only e.g. "society" that might have fit. Feel free to revert what I've done if you feel it was in error. However, I'd like to see whatever usage of 黨 it was, for possible future use and of course just verification. Thanks. Duonaut (talk | contribs) 02:05, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
- In fact, this is still controversial in Taiwan today. Because "黨" can refer not only to political parties, but also to friends and peers. The pan-Green coalition tend to the former and therefore often refuse to sing the first two sentences, while pan-blue camps tend to the latter.
- For the definition of this character, you can check 重編國語辭典修訂本, which is an authoritative dictionary published by the Ministry of Education (Taiwan).

- I see. Thanks for the insight, that's an interesting debate. Classical Chinese's vagueness has interesting consequences, lol Duonaut (talk | contribs) 19:59, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. editHello, I'm AirshipJungleman29. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Siege of Baghdad (1258), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 04:38, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

editYour recent editing history at Racial policy of Nazi Germany shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — Diannaa (talk) 17:54, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
