Speedy deletion of Andy Bowman
editA tag has been placed on Andy Bowman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 08:59, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Did you not check the source? Looks OK to me. --Rodhullandemu 15:13, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
OK, I didn't notice it was listed in the wrong date, but that wasn't apparent from your edit summary. Apologies, and now sorted. Rodhullandemu 15:18, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Wes Morgan.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Wes Morgan.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:19, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Relationship to LastingTribute.co.uk
editHello! While improving the article for Felix Bowness this evening, I noticed your edit. Summarised as "Added more career credits," I noticed you also added a link to LastingTribute.co.uk. Having further looked at your edit record, I note you have consistently added more links to the same site with the same summary. My suspicion at present is that you are associated in some way with this commercial site, which would be in violation of WP:BIAS and other wikipedia rules and guidelines. Can you please clarify your relationship with LastingTribute.co.uk? If you have any questions, please leave a message on my talk page - Thank You! Rgds, - Trident13 (talk) 22:26, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
lastingtribute.co.uk is a good source of info and not used by many other Wiki editors so sometimes includes info not already referenced, particularly concerning recently deceased people. I also use NME.com as a source a lot for the same reasons. What are the chances that I work for both sites?? Holdenbuckley (talk) 16:49, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notification of PROD
editThe article John Crellin (motorcycle racer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable amateur motorcycle racer, fails WP:GNG and WP:NMOTORSPORT, article initiated and based on death-reports only, no evidence of Notability prior to death in a motorcycle race, unlikely to be any sources created after this length of time, hence WP:NOTMEMORIAL.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rocknrollmancer (talk) 18:02, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
The article Alex Lees (veteran) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:GNG and WP:1E, only known for being a (minor) part of the The Great Escape
