Infobox map of the English Wikipedia article "Pahlavi dynasty"

edit

Hello, Hoshie, the editor of the map "File:BlankMap-World-1970.png". The map "File:Iran (orthographic projection).svg" is used as the infobox map of the English Wikipedia article "Pahlavi dynasty". Pahlavi dynasty of Persia/Iran existed from 1925 to 1979, so it is wrong to use the map "File:Iran (orthographic projection).svg", which shows the current borders of every countries, political entities and other territories, as the infobox map of the English Wikipedia article "Pahlavi dynasty". Thus, I suggest you can creat another map, which can be named as "File:Iran map 1970.png", partly copies the map "File:BlankMap-World-1970.png", but enlarges Western Asia to the whole map, and shows Iran in dark green. The new map I suggest creating can be properly used as the infobox map of the English Wikipedia article "Pahlavi dynasty". I sincerely hope you can accept my advice. Thanks a lot!

Unnecessary blur on M130?

edit

On the m130 image used in Palm m100 series, you added a blur to the screen of photographed m130. This seems unnecessary to me, as I'd think this would fall well within fair use, and the blurring compromises the picture's usefulness in illustrating what the color screen of the m130 typically looked like. I don't see that merely showing the icons on the screen would run afoul of Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. (I see someone else also complained about the blurring in the article's talk page, back in 2010.) Can you explain your reasoning for why the actual screen should not be shown? You mentioned some sort of iPhone image precedent, but countless Wikipedia articles on devices do show copyrighted software running. —Undomelin (talk) 22:48, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Fire (instant messaging client)

edit

The article Fire (instant messaging client) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NSOFT

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:01, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
