Gurus
editWhat I would suggest is if you want to seek another opinion on whether those sites are reliable, try posting to the reliable sources noticeboard at WP:RS/N. I still don't think they would qualify. If the person is mentioned in Forbes, Fortune, BusinessWeek, etc., those would be considered reliable sources.
Even if they are determined "not reliable", you can still improve the articles in other ways. Copy editing, finding other more reliable sources, etc.
In the proper context "xenocidic" should be taken to mean earth's defender (one who protects from an invading extra-terrestrial species by destroying them).
Anyhow, feel free to try posting to that noticeboard I linked above and get more opinions on those sites you want to reference. I'm leaving a welcome template for you below, I'm sure you will find it helpful.

- It's funny you should mention that because that is similar to the situation in the series of novels from which my name is based. The first novel is called "Ender's Game", and I highly recommend it and the ones that come after (Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Mind). If you are interested in reading more about my name, see here (careful though because there are spoilers about those novels I mentioned). As for what you can do, certainly go ahead and contribute to the encyclopedia. If you are adding ideas that are not your own, be sure to cite the sources. I've never seen that movie you mentioned, but it sounds interesting. One last thing, don't forget to sign your posts with ~~~~. cheers, –xenocidic (talk) 12:48, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose you could try to start putting those links back in, but you should try and ensure it flows with the prose. For example if there is a section about the person's leadership skills, work it into that paragraph. And use descriptive edit summaries. And go slow, so it doesn't look like you're just spamming it, which is how it appeared to me when I came across you as an IP. Best of luck! –xeno (talk) 14:36, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- What exactly do I do here?! Good question! ;> I used to spend a lot of time working on video game articles, but these days like you said, I just kinda "roam" and help out wherever I'm needed. Admins do a lot of stuff like preventing vandalism by blocking problem users, deleting nonsense pages, creating accounts for people that have trouble, resolving disputes, etc. Nope - no compensation other than, like you said, the satisfaction of helping to further the advancement of knowledge. It's enough for me. =) I'll try to find that movie... –xeno (talk) 13:15, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Leadership gurus
editIt's great to see your contribution to author/leader articles, but I am quite dubious about this 'leadership gurus' site/award. The award doesn't seem to have any reputatable organisations associated with it, doesn't seem to have any recognised leaders/authorities in the field associated with its judging and doesn't seem to have any significance/profile in the sector. Is this just a personal website you're promoting, or is there something I'm missing? Natebailey (talk) 22:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
