editMy mistake; I saw the first paragraph missing (now I see that you only moved it) and didn't look farther down. You're right, of course.— alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 14:10, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Your edit to Peninsula College (Talk)
editI thanked you for your edit because you identified that the article was not neutral and written by a person with a Conflict of Interest. However, I then realised that you specifically identified a person; I reverted your edit as this is not allowed under any circumstances on Wikipedia. Posting another editor's personal information is harassment, unless that person had voluntarily posted his or her own information, or links to such information, on Wikipedia (more information: WP:Outing.) I am aware that this is the second time you have done this and have informed Oversight. Rubbish computer 23:17, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
I am pretty sure I have only done this once, thanks Howaboutudance (talk) 00:05, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
User:DoRD left a message on your talk page warning you about this before so I assumed this was the second time you had done this. Rubbish computer 02:03, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
On the same instance Howaboutudance (talk) 02:05, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay I will inform Oversight this was the first time but you should have removed the information after being warned. Rubbish computer 15:52, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- User:Rubbish computer, that editor's edit summary says "Adding content to Peninsula College description - Emma Janssen, Web Manager for Peninsula College"[1]. Doug Weller (talk) 16:28, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
Sorry I know what you mean but not what you are trying to say. Rubbish computer 16:30, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- Howaboutudance, I was unaware of the edit summary where the editor identified herself, so my suppression of your edit, and the subsequent warning I left, were inappropriate. I apologize for these mistakes.
- @Rubbish computer: Howaboutudance's edit was not outing, as I initially thought, so it turns out that it should not have been reverted. —DoRD (talk) 16:45, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
Which one? Rubbish computer 16:48, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
At the end of the day whether they outed themselves how far I went (posting the link to her name in the college's directory) was just not best practice. apologize guys thanks for keeping me up to snuff Howaboutudance (talk) 18:28, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. editThe article University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP: N. Nearly all of the sources are primary, and I couldn't find any sources that are secondary and cover the subject in enough detail to establish notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HyperAccelerated (talk) 02:35, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
