Htl2001
Hello Htl2001! My name is Eric, and it is my pleasure to be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you will decide to stay a long time and help us continue to make this one of the greatest sites on the world wide web. Here are a few useful links for you to explore:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
In addition to that great wealth of knowledge, let me offer you this advice: do what you enjoy! If you enjoy contributing to sports articles, do so! If you like to correct typoes (...), write new articles, find better ways to organize articles, make useful templates, work on projects with others, or even welcome new members, do so! A happy member of our community is a productive member of our community. You can read all of the above links to the last word, or you can jump right into editing. Be bold!
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have the need to sign a page without the time and date, you can use three tildes (~~~). If you have any questions that aren't easily found with the above links, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia and enjoy!
P.S.- If you'd like to introduce yourself to the community and perhaps get a question or two answered in the process, drop us a line at the new user log.
WikiProject Final Fantasy
editHi, I'm updating the Participants list at the moment and noticed you joined last month but missed the last role call. Please stop by the project page and add yourself again if you want to. Cheers! Gamemaker 12:58, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Please be aware that Fair Use images are not useable in Templates per WP:FAIR and this image will be deleted in 7 days. --Admrboltz (T | C) 00:05, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Hurricane Rita Image
editIf you want to add another image of Hurricane Rita to Wikipedia, please upload it separately rather than replacing a current image. Current policy at Wikipedia:WikiProject Tropical cyclones is to use images of storms at the greatest intensity for articles. - Cuivienen 22:26, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:The Key.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:The Key.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:21, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
