Can I help you?
editYou ask me [1] if I can help you. No. I am not an admin and even if I was I would not be able to impose an indefinite ban on your editing of articles concerning Janet Morris without going through due process. Were I to suggest such a ban, it would be on grounds of disruptive editing of articles and discussion pages, and only to be lifted after you had spent time contributing and collaborating calmly on subjects that do not so passionately concern you. Ideally, during that period we would discover that you can make a sincere apology without deleting it a week later [2] because it has not had the desired effect. I can see no other help for you. NebY (talk) 19:39, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
The apology was sincere. I really was trying to get the interaction to calm down. Since I received absolutely no response and the personal attacks and vituperation did not slow down in the slightest, it was obvious HW was not interested in an apology. It seems odd that a long-time editor can engage in "disruptive editing of articles and discussion pages" with impunity, no matter how uncivil his language to other editors, target specific pages out of spite, but asking for help is seen as some type of "personal attack" because WP has a different definition of "vandalism" than the rest of the world. Sorry I bothered you.Hulcys930 (talk) 22:07, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
- I think you should stop spreading accusations about Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk · contribs). Seriously. Drmies (talk) 00:33, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at User talk:FrankB, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I just removed another one of your rants. If I see you place that or a similar set of accusations on another user page I will block you for personal attacks and disruptive editing. There is one place to bring this up, and that is WP:ANI. I challenge you, even urge you, to report your complaint there. Drmies (talk) 00:50, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
Drmies, I think that your comment is totally unfair and uncalled for. If you aren't willing to do anything, say so. If you disagree with Hulcys930, say so. To threaten to block Hulcys930 for reporting problems with another editor in simple, non-threatening language (and yes, I did read the posts in question), is stepping over the bounds. You many not be aware that WP:ANI has already been tried. It was also taken to dispute resolution. A consensus was reached as to what was to be done on the pages in question, Hullaballoo Wolfowitz ignored the consensus, and continues to ignore the consensus. The problem appears to be that Hullaballoo Wolfowitz believes that the rules of Wikipedia do not apply to him/her/it. UrbanTerrorist (talk) 04:04, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
Drmies, what would have been far more useful would have been you, or someone else pointing Hulcys930 at What to do if you see edit warring behavior. Constructive suggestions, instead of complaints that she had the gall to ask help would be more in line with Wikipedia:Etiquette. UrbanTerrorist (talk) 04:21, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, thanks, but that already happened on my talk page, where I found these unfounded accusations, which were investigated and responded to by a friendly talk page stalker. This was "asking for help" in only a very limited sense. Drmies (talk) 17:31, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
Mizabot Install Completed
editOK, I've finished installing Mizabot. It is pretty simple really. I'm amazed that Hullaballoo Wolfowitz didn't take me up on my offer to do it for him. His discussion page is the most horrendous mess that I've ever seen, looks like something out the the TV Show Hoarders. Oh well, that's his problem, not mine.
