edit

  Hello, I'm Lone-078. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ka (pharaoh), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Lone-078 (talk) 15:11, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not repeat an edit after it has already been reverted with objections, as you did at Culture of Egypt. This is called edit-warring and is a counter-productive behaviour that can eventually get you blocked. Instead, you can discuss your edits and explain yourself more clearly by going to the article talk page, where a consensus can be established about how to proceed. Please also note the guidelines about referencing reliable sources that were posted in the previous message above. Thank you. R Prazeres (talk) 22:06, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Culture of Egypt. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. R Prazeres (talk) 22:14, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@R Prazeres Sincerest apologies! I was not aware of such a term and I assure it shall not happen again. I was simply trying to fix the spelling errors after I added the citations, but the page kept lagging and removing all my work; I did not intend to insinuate a disagreement. However, I'd like to mention that the new information I added to the article is well sourced, accurate, and also taken from first-hand experience with the topic (Culture of Egypt) and would like to know what exactly is wrong about the information I added so that I may fix it and educate readers about this topic well.
