redirects, and PROD
editIf you want to redirect or merge pages, there's no need to use WP:PROD; just do it :-) See Player Piano (novel), for instance. +sj + 05:37, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
You shouldn't remove the prod notice to add a speedy delete notice. Hoaxes, even obvious ones, aren't technically speediable, though I won't remove the tag myself because I can't imagine anyone objecting to this being deleted "out of process". The thing is, if someone removes the speedy tag per WP:CSD and the prod tag is restored (which is usually not allowed, but adding a speedy tag shouldn't be interpreted as an objection to deletion) or it gets sent to AfD, then the five day countdown starts over, and it only had two days left if it'd been left alone. NickelShoe 00:27, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- What I mean, is that you can add a speedy tag without removing the prod tag, but if you re-add the prod tag after removing it on accident, the software or whatever interprets it as starting the countdown all over again. NickelShoe 00:28, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- WP:CSD specifically says hoaxes are not patent nonsense. NickelShoe 00:32, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
[1] "Appears to be an advertisement" is not a criteria for speedy deletion. The article was not only not a speedy, but a perfectly legitmate article. Please be more careful in the future. Thank you.--Sean Black (talk) 03:06, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
POV? I don't see POV in the article. Please coment on the talk page for article where you see POV. --Walter Görlitz 23:45, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
editThanks for your words on my comments page! Yep, the rush was fierce; the 5 seconds between sub-1m and around 1m50 was amazing! Nach0king 00:17, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
attack pages
editI did not create any attack pages or any Ellen Degenerate page. That was a redirect that said nothing about anyone. Please get your facts straight or don't post at all. Kalmia 01:37, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Signing
editI just tidied up your article on the novel The Breast - just so you know, we don't sign our articles (because a given article can have dozens, if not hundreds, of individual contributors). We sign messages on discussion pages, but not the articles themselves. No harm done; this is just so you know.
Keep up the good work. DS 16:26, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Since you prodded, I thought I'd let you know I sent Arabian Goggles to AfD. This has been speedily deleted and recreated a few times, so I don't consider it uncontroversial, per Prod proposed policy. On the other hand, I don't consider it a speediable recreation, because this version is significantly better than the last one. NickelShoe 16:57, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Gutshot_club.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Gutshot_club.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 06:39, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
AfD for "Splace" and "Platzgeist"
editHi! Just wanted to let you know I was voting on your AfD and noticed that "Platzgeist" AfD link points back to "Splace" on the AfD page. Something must have gone wrong when you set it up. Not sure how to fix it. Just letting you know that both pages are getting voted on under the same heading, which only refers to the "Splace" article. Slowmover 22:47, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Judicial Tyranny
editCould you please review the older version Judicial tyranny article, which I have reinstated in response to the deletion nomination, which I believe resolves the objections to the current, quite inappropriate, article. Judge Magney 16:33, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Prod tag was removed, but it is still about an unreleased third-party game mod. Gazpacho 04:55, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your responses and I look forward to the discussion. JRHorse 00:21, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Kids Eat Free
editI agree it should be deleted, although the idea behind the prod is if you think it's not a controversial issue, consider using {prod} instead (see Wikipedia:Proposed deletion)" I can't imagine that there would be controversy about deleting such a worthless trivial stub, so as soon as the prod was up it should have been deleted, if the process was working correctly. Esquizombi 23:12, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- I am fully aware of proposed deletion and use it often while new pages patrolling. The above mentioned article was not suitable for this process, despite its triviality, because it had previously been through the prod process and was 'deprodded' by User:Kappa. Once this has taken place, the article will not be deleted:
- "If the template was removed and replaced, the article will not be deleted." (from What this process is NOT for, WP:PROD proposed policy page).
- As it didn't fit into any of the speedy categories, the only route left open to get rid of this "trivial" article was AfD. Thank you. Hynca-Hooley 23:21, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Oh... I missed the "prod removed" remark. You're right. Esquizombi 23:23, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Actually now I remember I saw "prod removed" and thought you meant you removed the prod in order to AfD it, not that someone else had. Esquizombi 23:35, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- If you had checked the article history, you would have seen the reference to deprod, which would have made the reason for moving to AfD clear. But, at the same time I could probably have made it clearer in my AfD2 text. Hynca-Hooley 23:36, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Reminder...
editWhen using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 21:33, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
A short Esperanzial update
editAs you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
