I don't want to edit war with you, but there is no justification for moving the plot summary of the pilot episode from its old article to the main article. The AfD concluded that the pilot page was overkill and not notable. You were welcome to participate in the discussion and chose not to. Wikipedia is not the place for detailed plot summaries; the short summary on the page is enough. I appreciate you trying to improve the article, but without sources to justify notability, there is no reason to include a detailed summary. —Ost (talk) 17:09, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
I chose not to fight back when the AfD suggested eliminating the sperate, Bring Me the Head of Boba Fett page because I realized your right, it was unnecessary, but I still do believe the detailed description of the pilot does fit well in the original Welcome to Eltingville page. Also the long description of the pilot gives the page more detail ,the WTE should have more details like a section listing the characters along with the voice actor who voiced them (witch was already added), there should also be a cancellation section with a brief description explaing why the show was never green lit. In conclusion, just leave the detailed description alone. --IDALGHAMTFPD (talk) 17:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Regardless of your personal opinion, WP:V is project-wide, and Welcome to Eltingville needs references that are suitable under WP:RS. Of the two refs, one is not even remotely suitable, as it is a commercial site; the other is dubious at best. Yngvarr (t) (c) 18:02, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- I did not argue against a cancellation section or delete the characters section—though I question if they are all notable. If the information is notable with verifiable sources, it can be included. This would also be true of the plot, but there are not sources to demonstrate its notability. A more detailed plot may be WP:USEFUL, but Wikipedia does not need in depth synopses. —Ost (talk) 18:18, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)I don't quite understand your comment. I like the idea of trimming, but I don't understand what the difference would be between a trimmed, detailed plot and the existing, short summary. Keeping both would be unnecessary, though. I'm not sure why you need to list it in a table, either. There is only one episode and it's obvious from the prose when it aired. —Ost (talk) 18:28, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
OK I want the pilot section to have deep details U want the pilot section to be brief and basic
How about his I'll take the existing pilot section I made, then remove many of the unnecessary details, and make it about 1 paragraph
then forget about the cancellation section but leave the Cast and Characters section alone
