I actually have Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver put on pre-order right now! Now that I look back, I'm not sure I understand why I did it either. I was probably patrolling the recent changes and not paying attention. I guess I saw a big change from an IP and assumed it was vandalism. In retrospect it seems kind of stupid of me. I apologize, I should've been paying more attention. Orphaned non-free image (File:Metroid Other M Screenshot.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Metroid Other M Screenshot.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 02:58, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nintendo task force membership update

edit

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do every 3-4 months to keep our membership up-to-date.

All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on October 1, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. Regards, MuZemike 17:52, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please update your status with WP:VG

edit

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Your reverts on The Last Airbender

edit

As seen in this diff here: [1], you reverted an edit of mine without leaving an edit summary. It is proper etiquette to leave an edit summary to describe your intent and reasoning unless it is blatant and very obvious vandalism. As my edit was neither; it was a sourced one-sentence long addition to the article - I have reverted your reversion for the time being. --haha169 (talk) 03:04, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

RE: Warnings

edit

You're right about 114.76.142.177 (talk · contribs); that was my mistake; but not intentional, I assure you. As for 92.1.164.170 (talk · contribs), intentionally adding an incorrect image to the bio of a living person, as in this edit, is worthy of a warning. If it had not been the bio of a living person, I would have left a less severe warning. Maybe you disagree, which I respect. But I did not assume bad faith in either case. Thanks for you message. A proposal from User:DemocraticSocialism

edit

Hello! I'm trying to drum up support for my idea that the "List of Roman emperors" and the "List of Byzantine emperors" articles should be merged, but under the name, "List of Roman and Byzantine emperors". It's a compromise solution. Please write back! — Preceding unsigned comment added by DemocraticSocialism (talkcontribs) 17:32, 14 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

==Just a write back (and a clarification)... (from [[ User:DemocraticSocialism]])== Hello again! Just wanted to say that I'm titling it "List of Roman and Byzantine emperors" because even though I know that the Byzantines considered themselves Roman, the addition of the word "Byzantine" is just a compromise term to appease those who oppose the merger.

Hi. I have reverted an edit of yours on this article, and would like to remind you about WP:BRD. When your Bold edit has been Reverted by another editor, the recommended next step, if you continue to think the edit is necessary, is to Discuss the dispute on the article talk page with other editors, but not to re-revert it, which is the first step to edit warring, a disruptive activity which is not allowed. Discussion on the talk page is the only way we have of reaching consensus, which is central to resolving editing disputes in an amicable and collegial manner, which is why communicating your concerns to your fellow editors is essential. While the discussion is going on, the article generally should remain in the status quo ante until the consensus as to what to do is reached (see WP:STATUSQUO).
