Hello, My great grandmother’s name was Bernique Longley. She was an artist and had quite an impact on the art scene in Santa Fe NM USA during her time. When you google her name there are some bibliographies of hers, but there is no Wikipedia page. How is a new Wikipedia page created, as I do think it would have some relevance.

@Lilolil564 For the most part, Wikipedia are written by people who are fans of whomever or whatever they're writing about, and no other connection, whether personal or professional (that is, the person is relevant today because they have a following). If the article sticks around, its either reliably sourced or has fallen through the cracks and needs to be deleted. The latter is just enough of a problem that you can't justify your great-grandmother having an article because someone similar has an article. All artists who have a Wikipedia article either has reliable sources or needs to have their article deleted.

If your great-grandmother actually qualifies for an article, her article can wait until you have more confidence editing. The newcomer homepage, and later, editing independently, will help with that. You'll go to articles for creation when you have that confidence, so other people can verify you're sourcing the article, and sticking to the facts. • GUS2Wiki copies the information from Special:GadgetUsage to an on-wiki page so you can review its history. If your project isn't already listed on the Wikidata entry for Project:GUS2Wiki you can either run GUS2Wiki yourself or make a request to receive updates. [1]

• There is no new MediaWiki version this week.

Why are you cutting and pasting another editor's article to move it?

Hello. I'm very confused as to why an editor as experienced as yourself is performing cut-and-paste moves of other editors' content in order to give it a different title [2] to [3]. You should know as well as anyone that while easier to do, it's not correct to do in terms of attribution and you should have asked to have the article moved at WP:RM/TR or an admin directly.
