Are you Matt "Skitz" Sanders? If not we will have to ask that you change your username, as we do not allow the use of names of real notable living or recently deceased persons. If you are please provide proof in email. Daniel Case (talk) 13:36, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am indeed NOT Matt Skitz Sanders, however, I dont understand why I'm not allowed my real name as my username?--Iammattsanders (talk) 14:27, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I'd like to clarify, you are allowed to keep your current username if you clearly state on your userpage that you aren't the well-known person your username indicates. In addition to that you must not impersonate or try to impersonate the above mentioned celebrity. As long as you can do this you should be fine. Oh, and welcome to Wikipedia. As Antivenin states, you are allowed to use your real name, and many of our editors do just that. Our only concern was the possibility of an impersonation. (Believe me, we've seen it happen here!) In the meantime, I hope this little bump in the road doesn't detract from your working here. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:18, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I see you've created your user page clarifying your identity. Thanks for taking note of our concerns, and happy editing. Antivenin 17:10, 3 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
